What is different? Remember Government filth and their Goon Squads did exactly the same thing in our East Coast cities in varying degrees for two years and was applied to innocent citizens just trying to survive day to day! Shooting a grandmother with rubber bullets was deemed perfectly fine by the Victorian government and not at all newsworthy by the legacy media. But the slightest bit of police force against the chosen ones and it's national news. Good point, the woke brigade are having a major meltdown.. www.abc.net.au/news/2024-03-30/alice-springs-nt-youth-curfew-communication-criticism/103649356

Apparently the response could be unlawful. What a cluster.
from A(G)BC
1. It highlights section 4(2) of the act, which states:
"This Act does not authorise a person to do, or make preparations to … put down a riot, or other civil disturbance." The legal advice then said:
"In my opinion the declaration is unlawful and police operating under that declaration are at risk of acting unlawfully."
2. “Ms Wild said the other way to challenge would be a civil filing related to discrimination.
"It's not hard to see how it would be discriminatory in practice … [it's] very much likely to disproportionately affect Aboriginal children," she said.” DUH!

As if the cops give a sheet about it being unlawful, they'll do it anway! They can't be sued personally, that's why that Ex-Commish midget Mick Fuller gave the footsloggers the green light during Covid!

A law aimed at reducing crime is aimed at those committing the crime. Outrageous.

It looks like the NT can pull a curfew out of the hat. A few bashings and voila! locked down. The precious determination that the lockdown in April was unlawful led to new legislation being passed. Now the commissioner has the power to call for a curfew. How is it that such legislation can be passed so quickly?
