Definitely slant towards catastrophic climate change - but covers prepping as a subject reasonable well and measured. Surprising given main host is definitely political left, although overall is very “left”

Catastrophic climate change is legit and doesn't need to be human caused to be a threat.
I often wonder if the fact that we haven't had a serious volcano eruption in over a century is contributing to temperature increases. We haven't had the 2-3yr long winters that they typically cause for even a moderate sized eruption. Instead, we've just been having the small ones which don't put much ash in to the atmosphere, but do put lots of greenhouse gas into it.

Thanks for the heads up bce, I've been looking for a new podcast to delve into. Fascinating to see it from UNSW too. I'm honestly so keen and happy when I see mainstream-type sources getting into the prepping conversation.

I struggle to cope with Frostbites bullying, so have been staying away.  Life has been chaos and been to a couple of intersting places. Some interesting medicine. Biggest stress is risk of getting caught overseas when SHTF. I will try and write something about that. Will try and visit a bit more often. Not through lack of interest or motivation. Think it is all about to start falling over. Ive followed Tex's advice and been packing my rice !! cheers. |

Just loaded up, the self-proclaimed Secretary General of the 'Australian Preppers Survival League' is in the first episode. Well... I like the theory behind what he wants to do but the lack of effective media management and seeming disinterest in running an org properly made me cringe a bit that they were considered 'reputable'. But oh well. Seems like most of the other pods are more angled towards climate etc. than prepping so I'll set aside some time here and there to listen but I was hoping for a bit more actual discussion about prepping. Eh, some is better than none, right? But the initial episode was quite good.

Seems like an interesting group, site and such..
A little hard to navigate the web site, that is for me being pretty much computer illiterate. Listened to part of pod cast #5.. Will have to check the other broadcasts..
I think I properly signed up and hope to learn some tid bits of info useful to an ..old damned yank..

BAD CRANKY OLD FART. STOP THAT". Then bail into a foxhole, because I'm certain he's got far better aim than me. Hahaha! Be good to see some wrap-up from you though, you work in circles that provides really interesting insight and we can always do with plenty of that in the current times. Things are weird all over the place. You did mention you were looking to stay onshore a bit more, has that eventuated? I feel pretty much like I'm in a similar pattern now, looking for opportunities to rack and stack now because it seems like a golden opportunity to do so. Feels like a good time to be drawing close to home and making sure that everything is topped up. |
