Ok, a lot of us grow ( or attempt to grow ) vegetables.
Does anyone save seeds from previous crops to use the next season??
Are there any tips on doing this?
Any thoughts re a seed swap amongst ourselves ( remembering that there are some restrictions in some states - WA & Tas I believe ) ?

I'm no expert, I just pull out the seeds and dry them out if it's in fruit, herbs I usually let them start to dry out and then just shake them out of the seed pods. Some varieties don't do so well [I'm guessing because they're hybrids] and potatoes, sweet potatoes, pumpkin tend to take over gardens all by themselves anyway.

Yep we save our seeds and we have found that our pumpkins and rockmelons just seem to grow from the compost.

Yeah, my neighbour grew tomatoes (cherry variety) last year, and somehow some seeds ended up on the footpath out front of his home, and up grew a few tomato plants. We have been picking approx 100 cherry tomatoes every 3-4 days.
I keep tomato, pumpkin, cucumber, peas and beans from year to year. I just wish I had more space to grow more veggies.

Our pumpkin vine is spreading like some alien creature across our lawn and around our washing line! There is only one space I can stand to hang washing!

Yup it really needs to be cut back but there are pumpkins right where we need to.
