Hi everyone, in addition to having my online tiles business I also have a fish tank and pond supplies business. Anyway, my pond equipment supplier in their latest newsletter had a product I thought would be interesting if any preppers had a fixed structure at their hidden bug out location as opposed to tents or something. It is a rubber rain water tank. I thought it would be easier to drag a folded up rubber to use as a storage tank than trying to install a solid tank in somewhere remote. Maybe it's not suitable for you as I don't know what your plan is but thought I would mention it anyway just in case as they are doing a special for April. I would also do a better price than usual to the public for people here. There are 4 sizes that range in size from 60L up to 6000L. I do not know prices at this stage and have asked for more and better photos. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Definitely would like more info for these - I had an address and contact info on an Australian company that makes all different types - I emailed their office and they never got back to me. So count me in as a person of interest. Depends on size and costs.

Ok, I've just heard back with the prices on 3 of the sizes. I'm not sure if my supplier is offering good prices or bad prices as I know nothing of water tanks but anyway based on my buy prices these are the prices I can do. The 60L one seems quite expensive, it's not much more to get the 800L.
the 75cm x 75cm 60L would be $436 the Square Tank 1.5m x 1.5m 800L would be $879 Tubular Tank 1.5m x 3m (3000 litre) would be $1186
This price doesn't include delivery, it would depend where you're located.

I was thinking more of 400lt to 700lt/800lt - we have a huge bath that I could put a temp flexi-tank in as a drinking water supply in an emergency event situ. With a Flexi tank I can store it out of sight - out of mind until needed.

Aldi sell 10L bottles of water for $4 Nearest Aldi is well over 1,000ks from me. (but that's not a bad price) I was looking at something bigger and stored till needed - flexi-tank sounded perfect. Water tank is out of the question - flying fox poo - Hendra and such. Don't believe there's any filter for that. (Thet recommend cover horse water trough/pets water dishes - so logic says water tanks are also 'at risk').

For sure bud. The 10L containers flex a lot too when you stack some on top. Big containers are obviously better. I do have a 250L barrel I got for $50 and tanks are more practical and permanent, you just pay a premium for them. Given time I can move most of our supplies into 2 cars and go if I choose. One of the main reason for the 10L containers.

Depends how long term you are expecting to need to stay away for. Myself I'm aiming to be off grid for 3-4 years.

+1 for the 10l aldi water, I buy these as well, as a plus they are stackable and refillable.
