thankfully its not all the town, just a couple of bad neighbourhoods, there is even a really nice almost estate out of town that has multiple acres to build on! very very tempting imo

btw, no, not my street, but i've had my fuel siphoned like 5 times in as many weeks til i learned to not keep much fuel in the car :/ and the old ppl within walking distance had scooters stolen, then found in my street, there was even a riot between two families that resulted in the riot squad coming up from Sydney! and if you ask Wayne, he knows just how rediculous that is for a small town like this!

no, but its a cr@ppy neighbourhood in general. i was once cleaned out by my neighbours when away for a few days before moving here. when sheet moved into the street, im not making the same mistake twice my actual next door neighbours are great, its like 4 households, and the ferals they have coming and going, druggos (my dog is vicious for a reason, they have even tried to burn him to access the yard while i was home!) hopefuly by the end of the year im going to be moving out of town a little.

no not really, we DID have family here til a few years ago, now we are the only ones, and sort of keep to ourselves, its bad enough asking our neighbour to feed the dog if we are gone for a while :/

you're been a little silly... it's a awesome idea... some problems have been put forward... to coming for a few days... lets say for argument sake we have this meet up, it goes for 7 days (yep 7) yet you can only be there for 3... I doubt anyone will think less of you, or its organized for a particular week but through other commitments can only make it on day 3.. it's just something that come with group get togethers if i dared try for 3 i would come home to an empty house and less a car.... lol just feeling like a twat for trying to get ppl excited n want to do something along those lines when they dont...

idk, some things cant be taught effectively over the net period, let alone as a forum, thats why i thought it would be good. dont worry. i was just thinking there are like 24 hours in a day, an hour or 2 per day wouldnt exactly cramp anyones style. i dont even know if i can come for more than one night anyhow, so it actually was a dumb idea

unfortunately many days would not be an option for me, thanks to druggo piece of sheet neighbours who are known for stealing stuff, i was thinking a class not like in school etc, but as everyone here would have SOMETHING theyre good at, that others could learn from, sitting down for 15-30 to show stuff hands on would be a good idea, to make it more structured ensures everyone gets something they want to learn, and they can all walk away with some knowledge they didnt come in with. think, more like wood shop than like math class XD

ok, as ppl in other lifestyles and activities have various activities, lessons etc when having a meet up, and as a few of us were talking about freeze dried foods etc, and as many of us have varying skills, i was thinking, would it be viable to organise something similar? like organise one person to bring a couple of items from one brand, another does another, one teaches knot skills, weapon skills, aquaponics, gardening... gaz could do a field medic type beginner course for example? if we could get it organised, maybe we could all contribute *something* besides our being there (but that would be fine too, im just a big believer in sharing what knowledge we can! ^_^)
i was thinking i could make a few ready to rehydrate/cook meals in a jar and bring some freeze dried fruits/veg from foodstoragedepot.com.au (listing what and where from will help avoid doubling up, lol)
what do you guys think?
