its a good article, but it's missing suggestions on the lock box, what size, type, etc it's almost as good to put certified copies of all suggested documents (jp) into a sealed pvc pipe and bury it in the back yard... at least you don't need to worry about fire rating and such on the safes and if your garden shed isnt on a slab, all the better, nice and private so you dont have nosey neighbours seeing you bury anything!

we are starting to sink into the same sheethole america is, all the manufacturing jobs being moves overseas, we stop making money, fall further into debt because the people arent making enough revenue to pay as much ta, less purchasing means less gst, less ppl affording cars means less roads taxes, so income taxes will rise, medicare will be dropped.... you mark my words, when centrelink and medicare are scrapped because we can no longer afford it, the s WILL htf. ppl will resort to crime to feed their families. and i know for one i wont be sticking around to cop the sharp end of that stick.

im with phenoix tbh. id take it (further blending with the masses, plus the chance at extra supplies to make mine stretch out even further!), but be very suspicious of letting them in for one, and of contamination, whether intentional or by negligence for another. anything questionable i would leave in a public place late at night with a warning. if others want it, they can know the risk theyre taking.

Some approximates by weight for 366 days with RDI and 8700kj/day/person. Rice, Grains, Starches 40kg Beans / Meat / Protein 110kg Powdered milk/Cheese 12kg Sugars, Honey etc 6kg Fats and Oils 6l - keep in freezer Salt 1kg [keep more] Veggies - 100kg Fruits 65kg canned [haven't found better solution yet] How many people does this quantity feed? it looks to me to be per adult? 40kg of grain based foods for a family per year would be pretty slim rations indeed.... O.O lol

honestly if it wasnt that i want to move within the next few months, i would be burying things in my yard under my shed, when i have my own home, i'll be making a cellar, though idk if it will be allowed technically as my area is considered a flood plain :/ (though we havent had water even within a km of my current location, and im certainly not going to be building where i have seen it flood before, lol)

idk about the no fat milk powder, but what about unsweetened condensed milk? im not particularly sure of the storage life of normal or skim milk powder (because imho its vile stuff)but perhaps it is still a viable option?
