Personally I think the two options most likely are a resources grab by China, or 'lebensraum' from somewhere like Indonesia. Both could seek total control, or just a particular area/state.
I don't know that we will ever see a 'religious' war here in Australia, but I certainly don't believe we will be immune from terrorist incidents. Given the IS edict, "Kill a Christian, go to heaven", what's to stop some impressionable young Muslim in Lakemba walking into a church and shooting it up? Makes me wish we had CCW laws here in Australia.

I reckon we would be struggling after a week, and maybe even before. So much work to do. Part of it too is being caught between the bug-out/bug-in conundrum. My heart says heading for the hills makes sense, but my head reckons staying put may be the most practical. Either way, I need to start getting serious about all this. About the only thing I am confident we have enough of is basic FAK gear. Other than that, we're going to get hungry and thirsty after a few days. Probably should reload a bunch of brass as well, just in case.

We started homeschooling our kids this semester for a variety of reasons. My wife graduated with her degree (finally) and started work which allowed me to quit my grind and be full-time Dad/Teacher. It's cool

2) 24 rounds? that's kinda small. A Glock with 2 mags has more than that. Sadly down here, semi-automatic pistols are limited to ten round magazines. I have multiple mags and I shoot IPSC as well so am half-decent at changing them out in the midst of the action. That said: "Even at my best, I could never defeat that many."

Hmmm, the file doesn't want to open at this end. Anyone else having problems?
EDIT: Never mind. Seems it didn't download the whole file. Starting again *sigh*

And there are videos circulating of Hamas troops driving round the streets of Gaza beating people who try to leave their homes when the IDF give their warnings, and forcing them to return to a home that they know is a target for a military strike. Then they cry foul when these same civilians are killed.

A lot of great information in there. I'd take the lot and pick and choose once it's all there. How big is the file if it's all archived in one ZIP file? Maybe a DropBox solution would work best.

There was some talk in the Shoutbox a couple of nights back about tomahawks. Here are my pair. The larger one is the SOG Tactical Tomahawk, the other is the SOG Fasthawk. I like 'em both although prefer the larger one. Apparently the Fasthawk throws really well but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

If you've got two boxes, you've got two lids, so drill holes in one and leave the other intact and you have the best of both worlds.

I've had dimples, yes very nice. funny shaped bottle too looks like we got a few classy drinkers here. So I'll drag it down a notch or two. Beer for me. I'll go with whatever's around, but would probably grab Coronas for choice. Will occasionally partake in some wine if out socially. On a quiet night at home I don't mind a drop of Baileys or Amarula.

I'm going to have to start getting serious about communications devices. I like the idea of the hand-held for starters.
If you're genuinely looking at developing this into a GHB then a small backpack rather than a toolbox might make more sense.
