I have and use both.
My Thumler Model B using stainless steel pins is a wet media type cleaner. These are vastly superior to the dry media cleaners.
I have thrown the dirtiest old stained brass in there and they come out like new. It really cleans them.
The dry media type are really just polishing them, they work fine for relatively clean brass going in but anything that's really dirty or stained will still be stained coming out.
I use the wet media first then dry the brass then run it through the dry media for a nice finish and polish.

Sounds like a bit of a beat-up to me. Some of the people being repatriated almost certainly will be Afghan Australians. People with dual citizenship who're working over there for NGOs and Australian contract groups as interpreters and the like. Some of them will be the adult kids of refugees who've returned to try to help make Afghanistan a better place (clearly a pipe dream). Nothing particularly out of the norm and pretty reasonable for given that we would expect the same for any other Aussie.
Not at all surprising. Its just like all the "Australians" that are/were trapped in India from covid and wanting to come back to Australia.

In NSW its illegal to have a rifle range on your property. Who are these politician jerks afraid of ? I don't believe this is anything new, if you want to have a gun range you need to have the approved template and paperwork etc
If you just want to shoot stuff on your property then do so, just don't set up a (permanent) range.

I don't think its any secret that a large part of the population now is fat and unhealthy.
The people who are largely/morbidly overweight that can't walk around the block a few times or people who require copious amounts of medications, I've already written them off as a loss from the start during SHTF.
It may seem heartless but that's reality.

So your happy with mars atmosphere being 0.09% that of Earth's?
Seems a bit thin, sure you didn't mean 0.9%

"Mars atmosphere density is 0.09 times that of the Earths"
Where did you get this number from?

Could really care less if google bails, there are plenty of other sites easily and readily available for use by Australians.
That said, what are the changes the government wants to make that is causing google to possibly take this action?

I'd say I'm shocked and surprised but I'm really not.

I have a stock of candles but I'd have to have a lot of things go wrong or be pretty desperate to use them.
LED torches are my go to and I have a decent collection of the mid to upper end models from various makers, there would be enough sitting on my shelf right now to give me light every night for many weeks with out recharging any of them. One of them, with 8x18650's in it, would probably last over a week on its own on a lower output setting. Not to mention the makita 18v flood lights I have with a bunch of the 18v batts, that would be another week or two with out recharging.
Given I have solar and deep cycle battery capabilities I can easily recharge all these.
Honestly the only time I see candles being of use to me would be many years after the end of the world as we know it when all my batteries are finally dead.

Needs to be some kind of repercussion for sure. The partner that just stood by and did nothing is just as much at fault.
He later admitted he was in the wrong and apologized, that does deserve some leniency but you don't just get a free pass because you were wrong and apologized after assaulting a women in public in front of her children.

The first line in the story pretty much casts doubt on their reliability IMO. "and possibly the world’s – largest mobile nuclear weapon. "
Whats more realistic, that NK has built the worlds largest mobile nuclear weapon that actually works or that NK has built a cool looking toy to wheel around at parades and take photos of for the world to see.
I could be wrong of course but until there are confirmed tests I'd bet money its more posturing than anything else

Subs.
Given what Australia is and where we are we should have a fleet of modern subs. Multi role subs that can be outfitted for hunting enemy subs/ships, for taking out air targets or long range land based targets. Nuclear ICBM capable for the general deterrence.
After that coastal anti air shield around the country. Anti missile/anti air craft capable as well as long range anti ship. Mobile units as well.
Our own oil refineries with greatly increased reserves and additional power stations, preferably hardened to resist electronic warfare.

I know this is about solar but given its about using a car battery then there is one simple thing that was over looked.
You can always turn the car on.
If its just to charge the battery or when using higher drain devices, the alternator is going to be a far better source of power than any panel.
If your only using a small drain setup then its probably easier to forget solar all together. I know when I go for a weekend away or even few days where I'm moving every 1-2 days I don't bother taking the solar gear as my fridge and other gear barely touches the battery in such a short time between drives.
