Raw pack and canning also tenderises meat wonderfully, and even the shittiest tough old meat seems to come out fine. Some of our canned meats are coming uo to five years in the jar and narry a problem.

They are garlic, and yes, they are all 'pre-sold'. My wife preserves the cloves in a special mix (makes them almost odourless) and they are then on-sold at a very good price or bartered for other services.

Thanks milspec. I forgot to take some pics of the orchard and the pumpkin / cornfield, the strawberry beds and the espaliered fruit trees and berry canes, the tropical garden and all the 'hidden' edibles though. Maybe in my next post.
