Thanks for the link. They were very entertaining. I really enjoyed the shopping centre one, i think pressing the go button is the most critical aspect of bugging out. You can always come home if you press it too early but if you miss the opportunity your probably stuffed.

couldnt get past 1.14 when she argued fuel is more important than temp...BS it’s just as important as the other two, oxygen and temp.

Mate they are full of Bullshit! Constantly we in the rest of the Western World have to listen to yanks mouth off about how their 2nd Amendment rights protect them from their Tyrannical Government and we've been waiting now for 200 hundred plus years to see them actually rise up and use their firearms against their seriously Tyrannical Government. Looking from the outside in their so called freedom is an absolute fantasy but they are just too stupid to see it! Just look at what their LEOs get away with against Law Abiding Citizens! Just look at what their Feds and Spooks get away with against their citizens like for farksake they "disappear" them and then farken kill em no problem! The surveillance on em is unbelievable though we are not far behind except our Feds are way more concerned with which day of next week they will chuck a sickie on our taxpayer coin! Wake me up when the shooting actually starts! Best comment ever! So true, the dumb buggers still believe in the american dream. The american dream is a population scale mental anti depressant.

“it means nothing to the US” Rubbish. The US have spent trillions on wars in ME to secure that oil. They consume over 20 million barrels a day and produce 13 million a day. where does the other 7 million come from? US citizens have comparatively cheap fuel and go ballistic when prices rise. So a 7 million barrel shortfall is a risk unless they can secure other supplies i.e. Venezuela.
Australia ? what a laughing stock we are! Asking the US to store our oil on the the side of the pacific, lol, that’s as strategic as my dogs extra toes.

This “heatwave” thing probably correlates with: 1. Quickly rising obesity rates 2. Ageing population 3. The massive use of airconditioning.
I remember having a fun day in dreamworld 20 years ago when the temp was 44 degrees and a billion % humidity. A lot has changed in that short time and it’s not just climate.

We spend 300 a week on food, 2 adults and 2 kids. We eat fresh food, as much meat as we want and pass on the pre fab crap that many other families seem to eat. That pre fab crap is where the cost is at and also where your next cancer or coronary is at too. we don’t buy any chinese shit unless we get duped which is increasingly common as they gain more of a foothold into our domestic markets.
We started shopping at out local IGA again and the price went up a bit but the quality went up a long way. We are regulalry shocked when we have the kids friends over who have never tried certain foods such as cherries, mango corn on the cob. We are even more shocked when a checkout chick can’t ID a leek, beetroot or sweet potato.
we’ve set up abode for what is now 9 hens of one is laying and the others will be online in about a month, i did that this week. Meat chickens will come after some more consideration. Sheep paddock planned for the next month or so and cattle after that when we get a bit more feed. That will help the bottom line a bit as i know someone who will process a steer down to main cuts for $400. Sydney prices for the same thing are $1500+. Ill be processing the sheep and chickens myself saving more$$.

grow meat chickens, that’s my goal for the next 2-6 months after i get the egg layers sorted. anyone can have some chickens even in most towns. The biggest issue is what breed? cornish X’s are a patent product and can’t be bred by the hobby farmer unless you fork out $2 a chick, not much return on investment there after all the effort. I’m thinking sussex as a meat bird. Any ideas?
If you don’t have a vege garden and chickens don’t complain about food prices. The lazy westerner is getting the fist with food costs so go start a garden and coop now if you haven't already. We’ll save a minimum of $15 a week or $780 a year on eggs when in production. thats 3 doz a week. yes we like eggs but the Mrs cooks better than a chef and uses a lot in baking etc.

2019 was a cracker for me, higher paying job in a fantastic location, new property that will be kitted out to be a great doomstead retreat. Mrs finished study to put her in the 6 figure pay range, one kid who has developed a keen interest in fishing, hunting and shooting and another who packed her BOB in less than 3 min to evacuate from a fire that appeared to be close by....i didn’t even ask her to do this it was just time for her go get going😂. I was still looking and assessing the situation when i heard the suitcase wheel up behind me lol. Alas it was just a cane fire but what a good drill!
2020? debt reduction on a hardcore scale. kitting out and stocking the doomstead. Keeping in touch with friends and family a lot more. Learning how to chill out a bit more and focus on more on the real things in life.

it definitely is funny watching the Greta crazed climate leftist freedom restricters realise that maybe the government doesn’t always have the best interests in mind or what’s best for the population. and yes all media is a psyop nowadays, i noticed a change into more consuming based media coming into the 2010s - this decade. It’s all about tricking people into consuming “leftist freedom restricters” that’s an interesting spray. I distinctly remember a certain freedom loving, small government, have a go to get a go, liberal leader taking certain firearms off me. That was pretty freedom restricting. They are all the same...left or right it’s all a matter of perspective. Welcome to the forum 🙂

local governments are too corrupt to manage planning, zoning, approvals etc. They are only good for services such as rubbish, local roads and water/sewer.
Federal gov are useless too, can’t procure decent military equip i.e. joint dud fighters, eurocrapter, MRH90..... can’t manage what they have.
State gov are a combo of both but do good work. State gov is constrained by the other two and creates mega wastage.
no gov doesn't work and limited gov does nothing much either so see comment above as this is he reality.

The sooner we can detox from transport oil for the better. We have limited reserves and are being gouged as a result. There appears to be some cool new tech to replace this weakness in the next few years.

Not much said for the last two weeks, so hope things are going better. Most firies are too tired to comment. most of the firefighters are beyond fatigued. Conditions are still terrible but not as bad as last weeks. many new fires started this week as a front moved through with dry lightning causing many new fires in remote areas. South Aus and Vicco firies are heading home to deal with bad situations there so resources are stretched very thin. Many fires are out of control due to lack of said resources and firies. I got onto the line this week and assisted with some blacking out. No IAP, no drinking water...lucky the weather was good cause we went in blind. Several running fires were abandoned to help with myall creek fire which has been on and off emergency warnings for 2 weeks now. No rain forecast until next year. dead and dying vegetation from the drought, $200+ round bales being trucked in from 900km away, dams dried out, creeks stopped flowing, fuken pyros lighting fires....nearly apocalyptic. This is 1500-2000mm rainfall country☹️

I was in Bunnings yesterday and two times by chance ran into people I haven't spoken to in a year or more (all non-preppers AFAIK). In both cases the conversation got straight onto how bad things are in the world and how things are turning to shite. The first thing one of them said was "Have you joined a militia yet?". Later I overheard two separate conversations (while waiting to get to items I wanted) along the same lines. It seems that everywhere I go I hear the same stuff. I still think that, as a rule, Aussies are too fat dumb and happy to actually do anything, and to be fair most (all?) of us have a good life compared to most of the world, but maybe there is a change in the wind. To what end I have no idea, but it's interesting. The timing of your post is spooky. I was thinking about putting forward a similar idea based on my own gut feel and conversations with the gen-pop all day ... and its already here! There seems to be a growing sense that we are headed for 'difficulties'. I, for one, am unsettled by: The way weather/climate is consistently drifting towards conditions that make agricultural production an even more uncertain business. This is what many scientists have predicted on an increasing frequency will happen whether people believe it or not, it’s well documented. Adaptation will be difficult on freehold titles. The weirdness in the fuel industry. Exploration is very low hence no new finds to make up for what we are burning today, that capital from exploration is being used to prop up the shale oil white elephant, pissant EROEI and has not made any money i.e. $250 billion in the red in US and Aus gave away our gas for fuking nothing. Follow the $.We have governments that are striving to make people more and more 'compliant' in every element of our lives. More people means more “management” is required according to some. Go to NT where individuals are appreciated and see the difference to southern Australia (although southerners are farking it up there too) follow the political $ i.e. China influence and their love of total control. We have market economies operating on pure BS with no anchor in reality. Interest rates in real terms (inflation adjusted) are negative! This is a fantastic way for the top .001 to keep control. Low interest rates means spend spend spend.....well it used to. I think people are definitely waking up to the fact that lots of crap does not equal a happy life hence lower consumption on crap or upgrading crap for new crap.Mindless public infrastructure projects that produce almost no increase in economic output, but enrich a few very large construction companies, are commonplace. Follow the $. There is economic benefit in tunnels but too bad if you are not in a capital city.We don't manufacture any of the industrial essentials an economy relies on anymore. That’s a capitalism fail, should never have let our companies leave our shores to make crap to sell back to us at mega inflated prices. Still most Aussies don’t effectively support aussie businesses as there is a significant difference in price. I like to know i’m contributing more than taxes to AU so I buy Au made about 80% when i have an option. The cost of Lifes essentials (food, fuel, utilities and medicine) are all still rising while wage growth is stagnant - Hence we have bizarre 'buy now, pay later 60 months interest free' consumer credit for non-essentials in order for that part of the retail economy to keep its nose above water. Someone said in another post we are fat and lazy...true so either get of the couch or stop whinging...lol. I'm going to make it a mission to enjoy life as much as possible in the here and now! Yep ikm drinking wine and being facetious.
