And they are all oblivious to the developing of WW3 + + + Not to side track.. Hijack ?? But will WW3 be more a collection of civil wars, many spilling over borders one way or another.. This instead of the standard thinking of a global conflict that history describes ?? ?? Facts, details, thoughts, opinions ?? ?? Separate thread ?? ?? Economic collapse, major unrest - bordering on civil war, more biological weapons released etc.. The west in disarray, that is when the Chinese and Russians jointly attack the US. Chinese economic problems and civil unrest is brewing, the Chinese gov is clamping down harder each day - start a war to distract the people.

For what it's worth, we already bought our house, years ago. We bought where we could afford, so it's 100km away from the suburbs and my other half has a two hour commute each way for work. The industry we're in, there isn't much work outside big cities. (we're re-skilling at the moment anyway). It concerns me that in my parents' day, a house was 5 years' wages at the average wage. Fifteen years ago, the average house was 10 years of the average wage. And now, it's well above 15 years wages in the cities (and the rural areas are getting there). You CAN still find affordable housing out in the boonies, but even out here the prices are going up because of people priced out of the city. As long as our FIRB continues completely failing to prosecute any cases of foreign investment, the same investors and overseas buyers will continue to absorb all the housing stock, raising the entry point further and further. It's NOT just in the US. I don't see this being resolved any time soon. There'll be some kids who inherit property from their parents and create family dynasties, but those who don't work in high-wage industries (investment jobs) and didn't inherit property, are going to be watching the bottom rung of the property ladder rise higher and higher out of reach. I am considering Tasmania for retirement.... prices still subdued, Foreign investment is a big issue in Canada and Australia. I work away during by the week and comute on weekends, that is 3,5h each way, and it annoys the hellout of me. house prices have huge impact on quality of life, The average Australian drives 45min to work.

I prefer the British way of doing things. A few links to some of their 'Bushcraft/survival" gatherings. They get TV personalities to attend and go all out.

I think it is a great idea. Start small and expand.
Every year I watch YT vids on the British gatherings and a few of the US.

Soaring housing prices doesn't sound like SHTF to me. Sounds like a golden opportunity for the young ones to build wealth, providing they can stop spending on soy lattes, the latest i-phone or smart watch, gym membership, new cars, annual trips to Bali and a host of other things they waste money on. Except when a 1br unit has shot up to 600k and your lending max is 500k because your wages haven't gone up. Exploding house prices destroy economies, nations and social fabric and structure of a country. As house prices go up insurance cost are increase as well as council rates. On paper one is rich, but a person has to live in a house and if you sell have to purchase another at inflated cost, and double ‘stamp duty’. If one spends over half of income on housing then there is no extra for eating out, holidays etc.. The airhostess on the plane to Bali will have job loss as well the café workers. It is an economic death spiral. NSW gov is giving everyone a $100 to spend on eating out and movies etc.. to try and stimulate the economy. In Asia where house prices have been astronomical for decades it has had major impact on marriage and birth rates. Aging population is the result no more workers entering the workforce. Australia has a strong immigration policy to try and boost the population. Having to travel +2hours a day to work and back has long term stress and health impacts that come back to bite you in later life. Also quality of life is degraded. 16 years multiplied by 2 hours a working day is big loss and include fuel and vehicle maintained cost!!. All just because house prices are toooooooo high. Private house ownership in Australia is falling dramatically as investor and corporations now buy houses. This is a very short explanation on a very serous issue.

... and the mainstream disses the Preppers ... Go figure! Whoa whoa whoa... Did you just try to apply logic to strategic direction? We've talked about this. Common sense does not apply. You should know better. They are scared of preppers and don't want to be the only person without, and could not bother to prep.. RFS and others like SES tell us to have a fire plan and emergency plan, but if you have one you are demonised.

Canadian Peppers, beginners guide to prepping, has an interesting hierarchy of preps, starting with physical fitness.

What are the risks. Blackout, no food in the stores, water systems get contaminated, flood and fire. Blackout I would start with a means to cook without electricity - small propane stove $20, $10 for propane Torches, candles, hurricane lamp ($15) with oil ($10). Food Like $300 can get you 3 months food supply. Long term grain storage 10 x 10kg rice, beans, wheat. Put them in the freezer for a week to kill any bugs/weevils etc… then into a food grade 10L bucket, with oxygen absorbers – will store for decades.. Water Learn how to sterilize water and keep containers handy when power trip to fill up. know local water sources - bores, dames etc... Emergency kit. Does not have to cost much – even if just a list of what to pack in an emergency can make a big difference. www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/plan-and-prepare/prepare-your-family/emergency-survival-kitSecurity Have a password with family members and a meeting location if have to evacuate.

There was one comment in YT saying it was filmes in 2012, which would make more sense. Then the bunker guy was talking about 2021 Myan calender. Perhaps 7 news just put it out there to get a response.

I can't believe prepping still gets radical attention. They are just normal everyday peppers. At least the producers did not portray them as crazies perhaps they thought their actions would speak for themselves. The one gus was talking about building luxury bunkers in Australia

Was at the doctor today, first time in more than 10years. Prescribed me an anti-inflammatory, well the pharmacy said they have been trying for 6 months to get the meds in. Gave me an over the counter half backed equivalent. Things are starting to get real.

I couldn't see a suitable thread for this bit of info so I created this 'supply issues' thread as place for it and any other similar noteworthy insights of supply issues that could impact your propping efforts. The issue I read about is availability of semiconductor chips out of Taiwan. Taiwan is the world's primary semiconductor producer. Demand for chips is up and ability to produce is now being constrained by drought believe it not. The industry requires a 156M + litres of water a day to produce chips. Anyways chip availability is contributing to delayed availability of everything from cars to TV'S. SMH Article here ... www.smh.com.au/world/asia/why-taiwan-s-drought-means-you-can-t-have-a-new-smart-tv-20210524-p57uq1.htmlAs an aside, given those considerations, a Chinese invasion of Taiwan would have substantial disruptive effects on availability of many consumer/industrial & military items across the globe. Zerohedge has published numerous articles on the issue over the last few weeks. 2 weeks back I was looking for a tablet that was 4G enables - can add a sim card for remote work. Harvey Norman, Office works had none ended up purchasing one from a Telstra store - last one they had in stock a Samsung model, I suppose they get first priority from the chip manufactures. I recently changed work roles and now get a company car, being driving a rental car for 2 months waiting for double cab Toyota that the company has order to arrive. www.zerohedge.com/markets/satellite-imagery-captures-thousands-unfinished-ford-trucks-stashed-kentucky-speedway... similar noteworthy insights of supply issues that could impact your propping efforts.... Yip YIP yeah it is about global industries and world economies being propped up. Global recovery is fake. We definitely need to prop up our preps all the dominoes are falling over. [sorry could not resit, the play on words, I think a better word than prepping)

original article can be found here eatonrapidsjoe.blogspot.com/2021/05/attributes-of-people-who-would-survive.htmlIt won't be the end of humanity, but we'll devolve back into what are effectively hunter gatherers, living in the ruins of the old civilization. In a few hundred years, perhaps a thousand, we may claw our way back. What has been done once can be done again, Dr. Pournelle always said. A professor is someone who talks in someone's else's sleep. I disagree, modern warfare will be nuclear EMP, poison water resources, release of biological weapons etc... Nukes are getting smaller and more tactical for military targets... "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones". Albert Einstein
