The average middle age person in Australia takes large amounts of daily medications - that will be a big issues together with caffeine addictions etc.. Many are in unstable relationships that will fall apart at the slightest problem - which is just as big an issue.

Bartering is back to basics of capitalism, supply and demand. Demand is more than supply the price goes up, If one gave antibiotics to everyone that needed it - supply of antibiotics will be exhausted in a week. Make it free the demand goes up exponentially.
It is expensive and hard work to become a MD. It is also one of the professions with the highest suicide rate - as it is a tough gig. The doctor that does work for free will be burnt out in 6 months and be basically useless..

Im not interested in shiny meaningless tokens to trade with. The monetary/usary system needs to be abolished in favor of a pay it forward type of economy imo. Id much rather be paid in kindness than in gold and silver. "Enlightened beings are magnanimous givers, bestowing whatever they have with equanimity, without regret, without hoping for reward, without seeking honor, without coveting material benefits, but only to rescue and safeguard all living beings." Sounds like socialism/communism to me - it simply does not work. Why would a person go through the torture of studding medicine, and working long stress full days just to be paid in kindness when working as a cleaner in a supermarket would bring the same reward.

There are a few big whales buying into it like an Asian billionaire, Elon Musk posted support. They trader funds that prevented further buying are now facing multiple class action law suits. In history when the ravenous mob combine, no gov has ever been able to stand. Silver is one of the most shorted and manipulated of all stocks, being a physical commodity there is nowhere for the fat cats to hide. Just the online thumbs up on a reddit page has spooked the silver market, no one can purchase physical silver any more. Hehee check the billboards the mob have paid to get erected., mocking the fat cats. Much watch, this is personal and war. www.the-sun.com/news/2240915/gamestop-reddit-army-troll-wall-street-billionaires-banners-billboards/

My prediction is new laws will be rushed through to protect the Markets and maintain the status quo. The system is way to good for those at the top to let it be undermined. Expect prosecutions of those who are not officially anointed to play market shenanigans. I think you could be right there, although I wonder if it will make a difference? Would it be closing the door when the horse has bolted? It seems like the kids that are doing all this (and the few folks with bulk dollaridoos that smell an opportunity) are just going to find another way. In the past, the status quo has been held because only the few had the understanding and education to make good on the opportunities. Now with the communication age and everyone able to learn anything online for free I wonder if it's too late. The blood in the water has probably started a revolution now whether the fat cats like it or not. I think it would take something pretty profound to stop that bus. Yeah to remove individual traders and make the markets no longer free and open is likely to cause even more chaos. The fat cats have a major dilemma. People power still matters, the deplorables are uprising - it is no doubt shaking the systems.

The madness continues, Facebook shut down Robinhood trading page with 147,000 subscribers. It is blatant corruption. www.zerohedge.com/markets/texas-ag-issues-cids-robinhood-citadel-others-over-shocking-coordination-between-hedgeTexas Attorney General Ken Paxton sent out a Civil Investigative Demand to 13 entities, including Robinhood and Citadel, regarding the "suspension of stock trading and investing" requiring higher margin reserves for trading certain companies and suspending chat platform activity. Other names which were also issued CIDs include Discord, Robinhood Markets, Robinhood Securities, Interactive Brokers, TD Ameritrade, TD Bank, E-Trade, WeBull Financial, Public Holdings, M1 Holdings, Citadel Financial, and Apex Clearing. An Asian billionaire is joining them, to get revenge on their corruption. www.zerohedge.com/personal-finance/you-dad-redditor-shares-heartbreaking-reason-destroying-short-sellers-wsb-raids

One of the first things my father told me about the stock markets, was the shoe shine boy story. Shortly there after biggest crash in US history. With every Tom dick and Harry now in stocks, and stocks even more over valued than 1929. Ripe for big crash.. time.com/5707876/1929-wall-street-crash/#:~:text=There%20is%20a%20famous%20story,Kennedy%20sold%20all%20of%20his There is a famous story, we don’t know if it’s true, about how in the late summer of 1929, a shoe-shine boy gave Joe Kennedy stock tips, and Kennedy, being a wise old investor, thought, “If shoe shine boys are giving stock tips, then it’s time to get out of the market.” So the story says Joe Kennedy sold all of his stocks and made a killing, and maybe that’s the beginning of the fortune that made JFK president three decades later

I'd like to investigate hurricane lanterns as well, but that's more for the ambiance. As I mentioned before, I've used candles for lighting at night to wind down on rare occasion and it's actually quite nice to have the warm glow of candle light instead of bright harsh housing lights. That being said, you need several candles to get the area lit up reasonably well. Back in ye olde days, you'd probably only have one candle where everyone was and that was all you got, but with everyone in the house disinclined to be sitting in the one space it means more candles which raises the cost. I'd expect a hurricane lamp throws off a heck of a lot more light than a single candle. On that note, I've heard of people using old chest freezers that they've ventilated to use as fuel storage for such things as hurricane lamps etc. as they keep everything in one place and are a bit more temperature stable. That's an option too... As well as an old esky to store candles so they don't go wibbly-wobbly in hot weather! Chest freezer is a good idea. Hurricane lamp cost between $10-20 and around $8 for oil. Get the non scented oil for indoor use. Citronella oil is good to keep bugs at bay. Bunnings and most outdoor shops. I have seen oil in supermarkets and Miter10. I keep spare wicks. Oil lanterns were the main source of lighting prior to electricity. If there is a power outage and internet off, by pure magic everyone ends up in the same room.

Thanks for the reminder, something I should look at again. Made candles as a kid, that was too long ago to remember.
I still purchase candles from thrift stores and some times get bargains at charity stores- full jar candles dirt cheap. Also a good place for candle holders etc... I also have a good few boxes of the mini tea light candles.
My main back up lighting is the old hurricane lantern with lamp oil - they go for ever and are safe and easy to use, been around since 1780, storing vast amounts of lamp oil is a bit of fire risk. My broom cupboard has about 20 1l bottles stuffed in here. Candles might be safer.

The Danish version of the survival realty TV series Alone season 4 is now coming available on YT. I enjoy watching the series, season 3 was excellent, it is the only reality TV series that I watch. It is a bit different to the US version. They all get same equipment and not hardcore survivalist's - it is interesting what they get up to.

I think it is more of a free love thing and sleep around as much as you want without pregnancy risk.
They will deeply regret it in later life.
Worlds economy is failing a big factor is negative population growth. Even China one child policy is being reverted as the demographic is crating major problems. In Japan they sell more adult diapers than children diapers due to very low fertility rates...
