I thought I would start a thread about gratefulness! Anyone can post what they may be especially grateful for today, as tomorrow it could all be gone! It is cold and raining here today and as I was lighting the fire I thought about how good it is to have a fireplace. So today I am grateful for the warmth of the fire and staying dry!  |

Great thread idea! Today I am grateful that I was able to take off from work to enjoy the beautiful summer day (haha  ) with my family. We ate some Texas brisket with tater salad and homegrown green beans. I'm also grateful that my girl is an excellent cook! |

Great thread idea! Today I am grateful that I was able to take off from work to enjoy the beautiful summer day (haha ) with my family. We ate some Texas brisket with tater salad and homegrown green beans. I'm also grateful that my girl is an excellent cook! Sounds yummy! Its lunch time here and I was going to have yoghurt with something in it buuuuuttttt........then you come along with your brisket and tater salad! |

I'm grateful I was prepared! Had a bbq with my dad and the kids today, was cutting a roll and my dad keeps his knives super sharp (for a carving knife- you could bloody well shave with it! ), slipped straight to the bone in my finger! So thank goodness for my edc fak! |

Lol! No but I got it to seal up quite nicely with pressure and a bandaid. Lol. Even nicked the nail I think! (Eew huh) I would have if there was one available, was using my dads traveling cutlery.

A lot of my mummy friends have had to go back to work because they simply can't afford to live on one income. I am so lucky to have found a man who works his butt off AND is happy to tighten the belt so we can afford for me to stay home while they are little. We just scrape by (I only have one more maternity pay day left after having bub, then we are back to living hand-to-mouth), but we both have the same priorities so we work together to make it work. He returns the favour by letting me know he's grateful that I pour so much of myself into raising our kids. Today I am grateful for the maternity pay I've been getting - I'm going to go mad with power at Costo with a girlfriend! |
