Survivors, the 1975 tv series about a pandemic that sweeps the world was what really got me started.
This tagline was reclaimed and is not yet stolen.

I watched the French TV series "Collapse" last night on SBS On Demand. Highly recommended.
Each episode shows a different timeline of the 'collapse' and the aftermath highlighting different aspects of survival and dangers post SHTF. It is quite realistic as it shows ordinary people and how they react to the situations they find themselves in. They are not preppers and they are not heroes like those portrayed in Hollywood films which adds to the realism.
But what really makes it stand out is that each episode is filmed entirely in one take. That is really impressive considering the planning involved to capture all the chaos, sometimes over a large distance without inadvertently filming the crew or equipment. And that style of filming makes you feel like you are actually there.

Quite good, especially as it led us into a conversation about normalcy bias and having the courage to bug out (ep1) and the risks of delaying your bugout to profiteer from the collapse, and what desperate people will do to provide for their children (ep2).

It's a B grade movie to say the least, but, it does have some good points.

We just finished binge watching the first 7 seasons of Greys Anatomy.. We got these from a donation for the book sale we put on.. Actually, it is kind of an addicting story of date night type shows.. I do like it.. Now we will have to get seasons 8 through 19(?) from the library..
