As to the martyr, a real martyr would have walked in and blown himself up for "the cause". This guy has had all day and done nothing extreme. If in the end he is shot and killed by the police with nothing more happening then he failed because he was weak/incompetent and beaten by "the enemy". Doesn't make for much of a martyr IMO. |

Actually if they want to discourage this in the future, the following method should be used:
1/ after he is killed, castrated and de-willied.
2/ then dismembered.
3/ parts cremated in different locations around the city.
4/ ashes sprinkled in a pig pen.
Muslims MUST enter the grave whole, otherwise they loose their 72 black eyed rasins. Muslims must NEVER be cremated otherwise they loose their 72 virgins (who says they are going to be the receivers LOL, they might all get to use him for eternity). Muslims must always be buried with all their bits in the one spot.
So simply ensure their burial goes exactly opposite to Islamic tradition, and the rest will get the idea.
Oh and up yours to the rights groups who only support those uncivilised inhuman demonic sons of satan.

Just something I've noticed as a Canadian living in Australia... A few months ago, you may remember, there was an attack in Ottawa. The #prayforOttawa hashtag was everywhere. I haven't noticed any similar outpouring of prayer/support, here. The only thing I see trending is #illridewithyou.

Are you saying God doesn't exist? I dunno about shine but I don't believe the Christian god exists or any of them. However I don't have a problem with any religion other than scientology or islam. If you're a Catholic or similar and believe in that god then good for you, you could be right and me wrong. I figure if god exists, he'd probably prefer I use the logical brain he made me with to compile evidence and decide what to believe based on available information. I have never been witness to any evidence of a god. Nor has a religious person ever given me a compelling argument to support the existance of a god(s). For the record I identify as a Norse Pagan because I like the stories, the ideology and the culture. But don't believe that Odin will send his battlemaidens to bring me to his great hall if I prove myself worthy of joining the Einherjars. |

I spent all night "at work" tracking this.
By now anyone whos interested is aware the guy is a iranian refugee with an extensive criminal history whos on bail with multiple violent and sexual charges pending.
At least he's dead, unfortunately reports that one or possibly two hostages are also dead.

Yes it seems that the guy has had a history going back years and even his lawyer said he was "damaged goods" with an unshakable ideology.
So he was not a member of any organisation and had been a well known agitator. We should have been watching him.
I will not buy into the religious debate other than to say that it is fundamentalist views of any persuasion be they any religion are wrong. It is the twisting of a religious text to suit your ideals be it in Sydney, Oklahoma or Jerusalem.
