Well the urban lebbo hunting guide was probably just a spotlight shooter. He didn’t look comfortable on foot in the bush, couldn’t keep his mouth shut when hunting, had a sissy fit and tapped out.

WOW, was not aware they had released the 3rd episode, 3days 3 tap outs. Gives new meaning to the 3 rules of survival. tap tap tap, quit quit quit...

Finally dialled in to watch the first and second episodes of this show, "THIS PROGRAM FEATURES TRAINED SURVIVAL EXPERTS DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS YOURSELF VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED" - laughing. It's a joke and an embarrassment to Australia. This is going to be viewed all around the Globe and it makes us look pretty bad! Public Servant "First Nation" wannabes, the odd tradie and a real technician by way of Mike, the only truly experienced bloke that should be on the show and he looks to get the least airtime! Interestingly the ones advertising their indig "spiritual connection" to the land are the first ones to be tapping out! Example:- Any Fero Rod will do the job, it's the selection, prep and refining of the Tinder that is key to using these things, get that right and you will get a flame first strike virtually every time! He got the least airtime as most likely stayed to the end. The producers always give most time in the beginning of people who are tap out early. It is obvious up front who are the people that are going to tap out.

That's where its all got cocked up. In real life you cant 'tap out'. Now that would be interesting TV.
Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.

My 18 month old son dropped the "F" bomb for the first time ever after hearing him carrying on after falling over. Had to mute him, so glad he is off. Wife not happy !

The bias on the show is quite palpable, having two Lesbian couples featured, no Gay Guys with partners and zero transgenders included! There is blatant sex discrimination exhibited here and it's despicable!

It is obvious up front who are the people that are going to tap out. I think it is more about the quantity and quality of footage each contestant films. (quality is relative to SBS's interpretation) For example, Gina has featured more than others that have already tapped out but I don't think she will tap out early. In Mike's recent YT clip he showed a level of respect for Gina's skills and strategy when he talked about her choice of a possum fur coat rather than sleeping bag. It gave me the impression she lasted a long time. Maybe they were the last two??

I did an still do some hiking, I use trekking poles, much more stable quicker and puts some of the pressure on the upper body muscles. Why no walking stick!!! Also why walking around with a full axe, and probably carrying a camera in other hand. Cant use your arms for stability and if you fall is it avoiding the axe falling on you, and not avoiding any obstacle one could hit on the way down or on the ground.. What is he afraid off in the Aus bush that he has to carry a full axe everywhere. Like some other contestants petrified being in the bush alone, you can hear the anxiety in their voice. Alpha Male and scared of his own shadow. Try walking in Africa where there are large cats, aggressive cape buffalo, hippo rhino, ostrich, hyena, wild dogs, warthogs and an endless list of large mammals. I have never felt unsafe anywhere in Aus bush. Walking in some paddocks with aggressive bulls can make one a bit nervous.

We have a number of snake species that will kill you just as dead as any of the dangerous creatures anywhere in the world. Bitten by a lion or by a king brown is much of a muchness. I noticed they filmed Alone in winter to reduce the snake threat.

Most aren't very comfortable being away from their densely populated suburban environments for too long!

Seeing as the self appointed 'alpha male' tapped out early, I assume the remaining males are 'beta' males or should that be 'better' males.

Sounds like a waste of time watching.

Yep. It is the most pathetic showing of any group anywhere in the world since the franchise started.
I bet it will have the shortest 'win time' in the shows history.
The casting is so obviously based around woke agenda that it's not the survival challenge it should be. It is yet another "reality TV" fishbowl show.
As soon as I saw the Re-Wilding Facilitator had chosen salt as one of her items I have her pegged for the win. Win time will be about 32 days.

Not a complete waste of time, but most contestants quiet pathetic. On another note season 10 US is about to start, contestants and items they took below. Why SBS does not give us the items they took. www.history.com/shows/alone/castOne person took salt, quiet a variety of items, last v season most took the same.

The block of salt was a surprise and not something I would personally take. But it would have its uses. Food preservation, and the ability to make any terrible tasting food more tolerable.

Caught a glimpse of some sort of survival show on the box yesterday. Stupid show, seems about a bunch of jerks which are given a million smackers between them to hike 180 odd km to a camp in 14 days or something. They were 4 days in I think, and if you drop out the others get your share of the dosh. They haven't even worked out how may km a day they need to travel to keep on schedule. Apparently they were doing less than 5 km a day. A quick calc shows they need to cover a minimum of 15 km a day to have a bit of time up their sleeve for weather etc. Stupid show, and more stupid people in it. They even get some sort of supplies, lollies and energy drinks, whilst hiking.
I'm not saying that at my age I could hike 180 odd Km though a mountain in 14 days, but its doable with forethought and planning, especially for the younger people.
Anyway, seeing show like that give preppers and the like bad names.
I prefer peace, but if trouble must come, let it come in my life time so my children may live in peace.
