I bought this 3 acre block when I sold Camp Carnage a couple of years ago. It was completely overgrown, you could barely walk through it, even the front gate couldn't open because it had a large tree that had grown in front of it. The last 2 years have been mainly spent clearing, putting a caravan on site for accomodation, and planning where andbwhat we wanted to build.
I've now moved onto building a small cabin, having the power connected, increasing my water storage, building a septic system, and starting an orchard.

Divided the shed into bedroom, lounge/kitchenette, toilet this weekend using steel stud. Electrician popped over from next door to check the shed out and have initial discussion about the wiring fitout. Neighbour on other side drove his excavator over and took another metre out of the cut behind the shed. Plenty of room for water tank now.

Nice!!!
In that second photo, is that an earthwool blanket on the walls rather than bulk insulation between the studs?

It's earthwool insulation batts, behind the stud wall, up against the outer corrugated wall. R4.5 from memory.
Perhaps overkill, because the northern wall is protected by a 2.5m verandah, and the eastern wall shielded by a 15,000l water tank. It cost approx $150 to line the shed walls, so I thought why not.

Isn't a separation usually allowed between the insulation batts and cladding to prevent condensation affecting the rockwool?
Definitely agree on the insulation, it's one of the biggest bang for buck things you can do.

Update: After a delay caused by covid lockdowns, endless wet weather, concentrating on my other retreat, and being busy training new members at the pistol club, I'm finally making some progress at my coastal retreat. Painting almost complete, lino flooring layed, new gas lift (with lots of storage underneath) bed assembled. Need to make flyscreens and finish the plumbing next.

I thought your referral to 'the swamp' was Lismore and its surrounds !
Trust everybody, then cut the cards.

We call it the swamp because a Princess and an Ogre live there (sometimes).
I'm not going all out with this cabin because it is reverting to a workshop in 3 or 4 years when the house gets built. We got a price guide yesterday on the design we have settled on.

It’s been slow going at this retreat, because my place in the Illawarra and the high country retreat have been taking most of my time and resources, but we have made some progress. Cabin fitout is nearly complete and I’m slowly thinning out the bush (very slowly after a neighbour reported me to council for dropping a large tree). Our plans to build our dream home on this block are on hold, because the sister in law decided she is moving to Canberra in November, meaning the Mrs has to stay local to look after their ailing mother. We will build when the MIL passes. The mini bathroom taking shape:

It's really coming along, isn't it. Must be fantastic to know you have that little bolt hole to disappear into whenever you want to have a beach break. I'm definitely starting to think it'd be a nice idea. Might even consider a similar idea down the track if I can find the right piece of land. There's plenty of coastline to be had around here.

One of the smaller trees that fell over. Missed the cabin by about 1m.

It will be more fantastic when the house is built. And the pool goes in. And the spa and the gym. And the veggie gardens.

It fell over when a large excavator ran into it. Several times. We judged the distance to the cabin perfectly.
