I'm worried about the 28day waiting period for each PTA we pit in, instead of the the first for each license category.

Do I move to NZ yet? I rather wish the firearms users of this country would get sufficiently annoyed to do something about the eroding of our freedom.

Does writing to anyone make a difference? I tried contacting the Vic police minister throughout the Adler debacle and couldn't even get a automated reply email

Probably not, but it also depends on the means of contact. An email is less likely to get a reply than an actual letter IMO

Better you leverage votes, power's their only motivator.

I rang, they wouldn't put me through to her. Flat out refused to talk about any firearm related topic "until after the meeting has been held" ie, after it's too late.

I understand why terrorists blow things up, they are used to living in societies that don't listen to them...

This is only the guidelines for the states to work from, it's not legislation. The states will go back to their secret dungeons and add or subtract from their own versions of the NFA.

Interesting how the documents link is under "crime and corruption" yet there's nothing in this NFA document about reducing illegal firearms or crime or corruption, it just targets lawful firearms owners.

This Agreement sets out minimum requirements in relation to the regulation of firearms. Nothing in this Agreement prevents jurisdictions from adopting additionalincluding more restrictiveregulations.

The only thing that really concern me is if they start going crazy with storage requirements for more than X number of guns, like they have listed for the security firms and if they try and implement a max amount of stored ammo.

Worksafe already has max ammo at one location.
Assume this can be exceeded but not sure if exceeding it requires DG licensing or a worksafe inspection with extinguishers, special storage lockers etc.

The limit is 40,000. That probably isn't all the eggs for a lot of us.
Mine is split between my house and my folks place but it's really not much use there

In Qld, if you have 10kg or more of powder, you only need to display explosive signs on the door of the cupboard it's stored within.

Work safety for bullets.... see I like evidence to come to conclusions, unlike politicans, here's some.
100,000 rounds deliberately set ablaze...
... oh look ridiculous amounts of bullets burning, no major issues.
Powder, sure, it's basically like a large match head. Great care and respect required of course.
