"If I had eight hours to chop down a tree, I'd spend six sharpening my axe." Abraham Lincoln Awesome! One of my favourites:- “If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun.” Origins: In May 2001 Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th and current Dalai Lama (the head monk of the Gelugpa lineage of Tibetan Buddhism), made a three-day visit to Portland, Oregon, during which he gave a talk to 7,600 area high school students in what was billed by organizers as the “Educating the Heart Summit.” As reported by the Seattle Times, during that talk the Dalai Lama responded to a question posed by a student about how to react to a potential school shooter by stating that it would “be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun,”

That's a startling quote that should motivate any prepper to build a pantry worthy of withstanding control.

Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes. Zig Ziglar
If we are wise, let us prepare for the worst. George Washington
Be a balanced optimist. Nobody is suggesting that you become an oblivious Pollyanna, pretending that nothing bad can or ever will happen. Doing so can lead to poor decisions and invites people to take advantage of you. Instead, be a rational optimist who takes the good with the bad, in hopes of the good ultimately outweighing the bad, and with the understanding that being pessimistic about everything accomplishes nothing. Prepare for the worst but hope for the best - the former makes you sensible, and the latter makes you an optimist. Dale Carnegie
Expect the best, plan for the worst, and prepare to be surprised. Denis Waitley

Think of life as a giant, fat cat you're in charge of. Sometimes you can control it, but other times, it's going to do what it wants and you have to roll with it. And sometimes you can do everything - everything you're s'posed to do- and it'll still shred all the things you hold dear... The only thing you can really do with life is rub its belly and prepare for the worst. R. K. Milholland

Preparation through education is less costly than learning through tragedy.
It is easier to prepare and prevent, than it is to repair and repent.
expect the worst.hope for the best.and capitalize on each situation the best you can..
Everyone deserves the chance to survive. in which,I think of this every time I see,or hear of another disaster. on account There are probably people dying,or doing without, who don’t have to.
prepping is Common sense. on account it takes common sense to prepare for what ever life throws at you.
Lord, grant me the serenity to accept stupid people the way they are, the courage to maintain my self-control and the wisdom to know that if I act on it, I will go to jail.
