Yeah, not much scope for a decent 3 gun comp here unfortunately.

but on a serious note what are peoples thoughts on the new Henry X model Awesome! i’m getting the mrs one. I was waiting for a side gate 357 henry to be released after they introduced the cowboy models last year. I’m glad it didn’t take years to release. Are they in Aus yet?

I went for a Ruger Ranch in .556 /223 The gen2 model accepts AR15 mags . Bolt is and action is roughly machined and needs a good polish ( or a shit load of shooting) to make the action decent.
I looked at Mossberg MVP and Howa mini action but they came up short in my opinion. Especially the MVP , the bolt has a terrible wobble when withdrawn to full extension , makes for impossible fast loading.

The MG3
Er ... Just realised its not a bolt action. But it sure is nice.
The original MG42 rates as best MG ever as measured by body count. Pity they don't show a barrel change in the clip.

Got my new carbine in .44 Mag. Wasn't really happy with shot placement at 100m using a red dot so I added a vortex PST II 1-6x24 LPVO and an Olight. It weighs a bit more but still a light rig overall. 9 rds and 16.5" barrel is sweet.
