Nz under Lockdown has ordered a stop to all post and only essential courier service products like medical. Anybody caught trading is dealt with by the Govt . Its a total crack down , we cannot do anything. Unrelated to this topic, but during this 4 week lockdown where most people would be unable to work, what sort of financial assistance to business and individuals has been delivered/promised? I can't find anything online except a business payment of $585 per worker per week for 12 weeks capped at 150k

Businesses are haemorhaging , I'm self employed so I was granted 12 weeks at $585 NZ and that gets taxed , as you quoted . Other than that we can apply for a Mortgage holiday ( will need this) Back on topic , I noted that in the US gun shops were considered an essential , in NZ every shop is closed , except corner stores, supermarkets and fruit n veg shops. No guns or ammo to be had here for awhile.

Yeah this is going to be frustrating. Personally I do a fair bit of load development to come up with an accurate load based on a particular powder & projectile weight. No doubt shortages of those specific components will throw all that effort out the window and necessitate redeveloping loads with whatever is left. This was the reason I switched to Aussie made powders and projectiles the last time this happen a while back. Fortunately I still had quite a supply of primers and enough brass to last a life time or more. Boyne bullets?

It's this kind of random ban that causes people to stockpile in the first place.

Being a bit OCD on the precision reloading side I put a fair bit into testing & developing loads for high BC projectiles so I like to settle on a particular bullet and stick with it rather than spending the time and $ on that development for whatever is available on special this week. That now means Berger Elite hunter / Hornady ELDM or Hornady Vmax in 95gr 140gr or 180gr.
