That first video is crap...from a manufacturing perspective...Russia makes nothing of value to average people, they can't even make decent vodka! They make lots of military hardware but most of the world don't need or want it. This is a Ukrainian company and nothing comes out of Russia like this. I use their gear and it's excellent with great customer service. I'm sure there's many more outside of my field of expertise. |

Watch it carefully when they are in the factory...I've been in lots of factories, this one needs bulldozing and starting again! A coat of paint does not fix old, antiquated gear.
And if you care, then go and see how the Vietnamese do it...or anyone else for that matter.

There isn't one brand there that I recognise and most of them supply commodity products - manufacturing is value adding commodities.
Making food for your own people feeds them, but doesn't advance them. The average person needs the opportunity to advance, not subsist.
A country with that much land, resources and human talent should rule the world. Military equipment will only get you so far, especially if its second rate.

I can think of one finished product they make a lot of that is causing big headaches due to supply shortfall. Everyone here trying to make buildings is flipping their sh!t over a shortage of building timber. @ tactile, re vodka factory, old and antiquated but looks as though its clean and working as it should. Some places are built to last some aren't, Russia has plenty of those places i agree, but so does the western world.Re the russian food co's, i dont suppose you would recognize them outside of Russia unless you lived there or you had visited a local global food co in your area , same for Vietnamese,Turkish,asian,indian and many other countries for example.
As for manufacturing, spinifex mentions timber, and also the 3rd largest exporter in the world of steel since 2016.

The Russian invasion us unravelling. Many reports of significant loss to Russia including 3 warships. Very few major towns have been taken. 50% with frostbite and ammo and food running out,. Russia begging China for dry rations and drones. |
