Maine is a Dem state anyway. Won't make a difference. Perhaps, but will infuriate the Trump supporters. It is more of a sign that democracy in the US is on it's last legs. Politics has gone from crazy to absurd...

I wonder....
To win the Presidency, a person must get the majority of votes in the majority of states.
Trump can do that, even if he doesn't appear on the ballot paper for a few states.
I predict, a delayed or cancelled American Election.
But no matter how hard they try, they will never be able to defeat us, because the truth always wins in the end.

Politics has gone from crazy to absurd... Correct. Which is great for Trump. Elections over there are won and lost by how many of your supporters show up to vote. This will motivate a high turnout.

Is China up to mischief again. Funeral Business Is Booming Again in Central China Amid Worsening Pneumonia Outbreakwww.ntd.com/funeral-business-is-booming-again-in-central-china-amid-worsening-pneumonia-outbreak_962311.htmlThe outbreak of mysterious pneumonia sweeping across China continues to worsen. Residents in one of the most populous provinces of China revealed that a large number of people have died from it, causing another boom in business for the local private funeral industry...... “Now, they are not allowed to say that it is related to COVID-19,” Mr. Zhou said. “They attribute the elderly patients’ infections to their underlying diseases, because the medical system does not allow them to say that there is COVID-19 virus. Patients’ requests to take COVID-19 test are all denied, and when they ask the doctors [if it’s COVID-19], the doctors don’t tell them. Actually, ordinary people all know that it’s still COVID-19.”

Trivia.. In the US even if a candidate does get a majority vote in a state... The state has an ...electoral college... that can decide who wins the state... This a ..political side step.. it seems I don't pretend to understand.. Other than to know it can be manipulated in a number of ways..

The whole idea of the electoral college was that a bunch of community leaders would govern the country. It was designed to not have political parties. So whilst that last part has been ignored, whoever wins a state still gets to nominate. There's no rule at all stopping whoever wins (Dems or others) giving their college votes to Trump.

That's not surprising. California takes vastly more than it's fair share from the Colorado river and has done practically nothing to reduce usage.
As usual for a leftard led state, they are more interested in woke garbage than any actual environmental improvements. For example, their current plan to deal with the Salton sea is to water the desert with drinking water for dust control. That's it. No plan to re-fill it. The place is an apocalypse town now. Meanwhile California keeps importing as many people as they can get from across the border illegally (whilst those who can afford to leave, do leave) showing no intent to ever actually do anything about their overpopulation problem.

NSW Government vermin proposed that same process for Sydney water years ago, not sure if it went ahead or not. Either way my three water tanks and coastal rainfall will do me just fine thanks!

Seemingly in the same sentence California city officials will limit water use but fine people for not watering there lawns on grounds of maintaining ...property values...

Nevada is way ahead of Cal. In NV they will pay you to remove your lawn and plant a desert suitable garden.

Many inland towns in Australia drinking water supply is from returned sewage from an upstream town. Dubbo is one of them. The water is treated with chemicals etc.. The big issue that is being ignored over the last 10years is the amount of antibiotics, medicines drugs that make it through the treatment system. It has been documented over the years that fish in the Thames river are being affected by too much natural and synthetic steroidal estrogens and chemicals that mimic estrogens - perhaps that is why are are all going trans.... Using high level of RO (Reverse Osmosis) gets water clean - returned sewerage from a decent plant is fine. All along the river ways in Australia the downstream town just pick up upstream water that has been released. There is some bore and dam water added, like 40% of the mix. The Sydney water basin is still mostly clean water. Power outages, floods then raw sewage can easily get into clean water systems. If you are in a house at the bottom of a hill/valley and sewerage systems block up - it is quite probable that raw sewage can then backup and come through your toilets into your house. Will have to have a method to block your toilets.. As always our society is on the edge of total chaos, it wont take much for all the tech system to simultaneously fall apart. In Cains heard today from a person who has a family member up there - they had raw sewage going through houses after the cyclone. academic.oup.com/bioscience/article/58/11/1051/264727Collapse of a fish population after exposure to a synthetic estrogenwww.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.0609568104#:~:text=Male%20fishes%20downstream%20of%20some,estrogens%20%5Bestrone%20or%2017%CE%B2%2Destradiol Municipal wastewaters are a complex mixture containing estrogens and estrogen mimics that are known to affect the reproductive health of wild fishes. Male fishes downstream of some wastewater outfalls produce vitellogenin (VTG) (a protein normally synthesized by females during oocyte maturation) and early-stage eggs in their testes, and this feminization has been attributed to the presence of estrogenic substances such as natural estrogens [estrone or 17β-estradiol (E2)], the synthetic estrogen used in birth-control pills [17α-ethynylestradiol (EE2)],

Most newer plumbing systems will have a non-return valve to stop that. They aren't perfect though and can easily sieze in place if not maintained.
The water is one of the (few) good things in Melbourne. They use osmosis, not chemical treatement and guard the catchments very well. Only time this goes bad is after large bushfires, the ash can be problematic.

But all our soldiers are up to date on their gender neutral training and we've successfully deterred all those pesky healthy, fit, white males from joining, so I'm not sure what could possibly be the problem.
