Financial chickens coming home to roost. All the fake economic growth and strength of US labour market facade coming to the surface. The US gov put 1.2million illegal immigrants as working to boost the numbers. Philadelphia Fed Admits US Payrolls Overstated By At Least 800,000 www.zerohedge.com/markets/philadelphia-fed-admits-us-payrolls-overstated-least-800000The first red flags emerged in the summer of 2022: that's when the Biden Labor Department started well and truly rigging the labor market data. Regular readers may recall that it was back in July of 2022, when we first warned that something had "snapped" in the labor market: that's when a striking discrepancy emerged between the number of US Payrolls (as measured by the BLS' Establishment Survey, a far more crude and imprecise, yet much more market-moving data series), and the number of actual Employed Workers (as measured by the BLS' far more accurate Household Survey) . As we showed then, after the two series had tracked each other tick for tick for years, a wide gap opened in March 2022 which quickly grew to 1.5 million jobs

Some commentators are saying we are in a 'full employment recession". I wonder.....sudden death might enter into it, not enough people left to do the work Employment is not what it seams more gig and entertainment jobs, gov getting in less money from personal taxes. esp in the USA. But they claim employment is strong. US Gov debt is increasing by the billions on a weekly bases, borrowing and spending like not tomorrow, when he economy really fails there will be nothing left in the tank to advert a crisis. Interesting job report from "seek" 3 days back, things in Aus not so gooooood. www.seek.com.au/about/news/employment-report-february24NATIONAL INSIGHTS:
Job ads declined 2.5% in February. Job ad volumes are down 18.6% year-on-year (y/y). Applications per job ad rose 2.9% from the month prior.*

Australia trade routes will be over 60% lost if war in China. You can tank the Whitlam government for signing us up to the UN 1975 Lima Declaration that forced us to send our manufacturing sectors to third world countries for "wealth sharing" Added to that are the other UN/WEF originated red and green policies that have all but ensured there will be zero chance of any heavy industries getting setup again within Australia. And with the current race to get to this so called "zero emission" goal with totally relying on underwhelming output wind/solar generation while steering clear of genuine conversations around replacing the coal power plants with cleaner options like the nuclear option. With 2 large nuclear reactors built (east coast and west coast) you would have enough baseload generation to power the entire country on the national grid and not be required to bulldoze hundreds of thousands of acres of prime koala habitats and valuable farmland. I think in the NT they are building a mega solar farm, but all of the electricity of that will be sent directly to Malaysia via undersea cables.

Cracks continue to appear... The Tower Of Sauron Can't Pay Its Debt: Brooklyn's Tallest Building Is In Foreclosurewww.zerohedge.com/markets/tower-sauron-cant-pay-its-debt-brooklyns-tallest-building-foreclosureWhile everyone says that the looming commercial real estate crash is nothing to worry about since, well, everyone's been worrying about it for so long and nothing bad has happened yet (except for the whole regional bank crisis last March when virtually anyone who is not JPM almost imploded), every day we get a new and more shocking foreclosure or default.

Funny how these companies seem to keep going broke, but the billionaires who own them seem to always do just fine.

Funny how these companies seem to keep going broke, but the billionaires who own them seem to always do just fine. Because the company pays $1M a day for lawnmowing the 1 square metre of lawn at the premises, paid to the other company the boss owns. And A zillon per year in consulting frees, dishwashing, a bit like the NDIS: pay yourself out of someone else's money. Pocket the cash into a trust etc*) then run. *YOU don't own anything, and can't be successfully sued. The trust never trades, and can't be sued, but it owns the mansion, yacht, heliopters, turst funds, etc. This is unlikely to change, as too many big guys and pollies/lawyers want it this way.

There's heaps or examples of this. Speak to literally any engineer/IT professional and they will be able to cite examples of totally insecure infrastructure systems that would mysteriously stop working the day a conflic with the CCP began. It's clearly their strategy for Taiwan. Create a few weeks mayhem in the west and establish forces on Taiwan before they can retalliate. Judging by the number of chinese vehicles on the road, it's going to be absolute carnage they day it happens.

"Draw Out Some Cash Day" is set to run on Tuesday, April 2 – encouraging Australians to withdraw cash from ATMs in protest of the move to a cashless society."“Cash equals freedom ... they are doing everything to push us into this digital CBC world,” Mr Dean said.
“Which is absolutely a prison – basically a technological prison."
“Get your cash out on Tuesday, let’s show them we still love cash.”When 25 out of 26 million Australians decide to keep using cash there is nothing the Government Bottom Feeders and their Banker and Cop mates can do about it except outlaw it and confiscate it when they find it! Cash will go "Black Market" it'll be the new "Cocaine" ! The family my daughter married into are all lawyers, I remember having a discussion with them when CODID was on and people did not want to touch cash. Cash is legal tender in Australia and may not be refused. Australian laws are not enforced by woke courts. We are in end stages of society collapse.. Those working with cash are going broke. I did see all of that when it came out in the news. However I still maintain that at the end of the day at street level the value of cash is being re-discovered especially by young people. The word out there is that cash is starting to be used again by budget savvy youngsters and our Ethnic Brethren have never stopped using it ("What Is It With Wogs And Cash?"...... The Castle 1997) !

Beno According to my three daughters it's exactly why many young people are railing against the hidden fee / tax rip off stuff and beginning to choose cash! They also are finally "getting it" when it comes to you done your money for this week so none left till next pay day now stop spending or even better save a bit!

To be fair I really don't blame traders for adding that charge. They get hit with it by the card companies, so it only seems fair to pass it on. It's wise to keep cash for that reason. Avoid the fees. It's pretty common to see a 5% discount for cash, so 7% cheaper than by card. Which is exactly how it should be.

Turkey elections, bit upset for Erdogan, The 67% inflation is starting to inflict pain. Erdogan has a no change to interest rates policy.. More Black Swans landing. tradingeconomics.com/turkey/currencyThe Turkish lira weakened past 32.4 per USD, a fresh record low, as traders digest the election results and the economic outlook for the country. President Erdogan's AKP party suffered a significant defeat in the local elections, losing in major cities like Istanbul and Ankara. There were fears that this could lead to a shift from recent orthodox economic policies and a more loose fiscal policy, but President Erdogan accepted defeat and promised his efforts to rein in inflation would pay off this year. The annual inflation rate in Turkey rose to 67.07% in February 2024, the highest reading since November 2022. To shield their savings from inflation, many Turks are turning to gold and other assets linked to the US dollar. The central bank had already increased the key interest rate by 4,150bps since last year.

War and bird fl Iran says Israel bombed its embassy in Syria, killing a top commanderwww.reuters.com/world/middle-east/building-close-iranian-embassy-hit-syria-iranian-media-report-2024-04-01/This now opens up the possibility that Tehran could strike back at Israel's embassies and consulates abroad, in yet more worrying and unpredictable escalation. So they decided to do some testing, and we now have the results. The case was identified in a person who had direct exposure to dairy cattle presumed to be infected with avian influenza. The patient, who experienced eye inflammation as their only symptom, was tested for flu late last week with confirmatory testing performed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention over the weekend. The IDF its statement said it identified a "suspicious aerial target" that breached Israeli airspace "from the east" before making impact "in the Eilat Bay area" on the Red Sea. While this isn't necessarily the first instance of Iraqi militant groups claiming to have fired on Eliat, it appears to be the first time that direct impact was made on an Israeli navy base and that the IDF has confirmed it.
