Late stage collapse they change the laws and implement dictatorship, we have seen many countries go that way recently, Venezuela, Russia, Türkiye who a member of NATO, Egypt, Russia, Myanmar etc.. In the US they stole the last election, it has been proven in court, they have weaponised the legal system against their opponents. Does not matter what you believe about Trump, such behaviour should be resisted. The US deep state dictators see Trump as biggest threat, High probability of US civil war breaking out after Nov. elections. Trump announces nearly $71m fund-raising haul after guilty verdictwww.straitstimes.com/world/united-states/trump-announces-nearly-71m-fundraising-haul-after-guilty-verdictTrump will get that money too. The transactions he took (ignoring the storym daniels one) were prosecuted for 'falsifying' numbers. What he did is absolute standard practice in the real estate industry. There will be some very wealthy people very worried about this and seeking to overturn it without getting their names in the spotlight. Quietly funding his appeal will be a way to do this. As you say, the US is clearly sliding towards an anarcho-dictatorship, just the countries you mentioned, where the only real crime is to challenge the authority of hte state and the parasites that depend on it.

Is Australia a nuke target ? I wouldn't like to be anywhere near a major capital city at this time. In regards to CHina nukes, our 3 biggest targets would be Pine Gap, Jindalee radar stations and the HMAS Harold Holt submarine radio relay station off Broome.

In regards to CHina nukes, our 3 biggest targets would be Pine Gap, Jindalee radar stations and the HMAS Harold Holt submarine radio relay station off Broome. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents on this There are a few designated nuclear targets in Australia however they are tertiary targets in order of importance and in a global kinetic conflict between the worlds powers its very unlikely that we would see the use of a WMD against those targets on Australian soil nor is it likely that our major urban centers would be targeted apart from The ACT what would be targeted would be high priority targets that pose a direct and immediate threat to the belligerents and their capabilities to either launch a counter strike or conduct military operations Now assuming that no one is launching low yield tactical nuke against a massed enemy force that are either crossing over into the ' defending' nations territory or is about to launch an offensive to do that as a show of force to make the other side rethink its plans we would have to assume this is an all-out nuclear 1st strike with the intent of crippling the enemy The stages of this would roughly follow this path 1st all the enemy's nuclear infrastructure would be targeted so missile silos anything that can launch a nuke is hit and all the immediate support facilities including airfields and naval assets such as carrier groups and bases. This phase would also include the detonation of a high-altitude nuclear device tweaked to produce an extremely powerful EMP to cause as much disruption to emergency services on the ground and hamper coordination efforts within the target countries 2nd Depending on how successful the 1st strike was there might be an immediate ceasefire called as the nation hit may not be able to retaliate effectively however should the nation just targeted retaliate with its remaining capabilities then you will see the targeting of vital civilian infrastructure and places of high emotional and morale value like capital city of the nation like DC or Moscow and so on 3rd the last stage is where no party wants to surrender so now its use what's left to do as much damage to your enemy as possible this is where we may see places like pine gap or ACT get hit but most of the real targets are in the northern hemisphere but there is the high potential to see the use of a tweaked high altitude detonation on the east coast of Australia to hamper our ability to do much as we will to busy domestically Now I'm sure there's plenty of things that people will find wrong with this path of progression, but it is important to remember there is a phrase stupidly tossed around within the ranks of those that have the power and that is escalate to deescalate Also the reason pine gap isn't a priority and hit straight away well once you've launched your birds the other side knows they are coming so even if pine gap warns them it doesn't matter now plus there is very little tactical reason to bother because the returning nukes are not going to come from pine gap they are coming from subs , Europe and the American mainland and that's what is the highest priority to destroy them and shock your enemy into submission Now this also doesn't mean that some lunatic who knows they are going to be defeated won't decide to skip the middleman and target the civilian population of their enemy and their allies 1st in some suicidal glory because that always a potential especially if they believe their country is about to be defeated and over run and they think they're about to be dragged down the street and hung from a light post There is a bunch of other factors that come into play as well such as who fires 1st and with what intent Its important to note that this isn't just my opinion, but this is the expressed views of two people who are both now retired with rank. One from the Australian intelligence and the other from US Airforce (missileer "stratcom" ) these are also people I've known for many years and were a positive influence on me in my youth, so I value their informed thoughts and their multiyear experience more than I do the opinion of latest YouTube expert . regardless as preppers we should have a plan for such a situation regardless even if it only involves a case of beer some spf 500000 sunscreen and 5 minutes with that hot goth girl down the road

I don’t have any money in American banks, and what I have here is guaranteed by our government.

We don't have much money in ANY bank !
Dumped the ANZ when it closed it Casino branch a few years ago, now with the Greater and its good.
Continuing with prepping as if the banks have failed and all the cash has evaporated, as is going to happen. Not even the Govt will be able to do anything as they will have collapsed as well.
Perhaps we might survive in some form as a country as we are not quite so corrupt as most other Govts, but we are not relying on interest from banks to survive. In fact, we are buying prepper 'stuffs' as soon as we get payed, keeping a month or two's cash in hand, just in case.

Except the part about the priority level of Pine Gap as a target. My understanding is its in the small group of critical targets (top 3) in the Western military system and as such can expect not just to be hit ... but hit multiple times to minimise its ability to operate. Something to do with operating the guidance systems for US nuclear missiles?

Welcome to stagflation. High inflation with faltering economy, it is the worst possible scenario as there is no fix. Lower interest rates and inflation rages, but economy crashers. ECB and Canadians have lowered interest rates despite inflation will above set targets. Europe Central Bank jumps ahead of the Fed in lowering rates. But future cuts may be limitedapnews.com/article/european-central-bank-interest-rates-cut-087f5a0eb5caf841266afb16c65e520bFRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — The European Central Bank cut its key interest rate Thursday by a quarter-point, moving ahead of the U.S. Federal Reserve as central banks around the world lean toward lowering borrowing costs — a shift with far-reaching consequences for home buyers, savers and investors. The ECB cut its benchmark rate to 3.75% from a record high of 4% at a meeting of the bank’s 26-member rate-setting council in Frankfurt. Speaking afterward at a news conference, ECB President Christine Lagarde said inflation had eased enough for the central bank to start lowering rates. Canada becomes first G7 nation to cut interest rateswww.reuters.com/markets/rates-bonds/bank-canada-cuts-rates-first-time-four-years-2024-06-05/OTTAWA, June 5 (Reuters) - The Bank of Canada trimmed its key policy rate on Wednesday, the first G7 country to do so, in a widely expected move that will ease pressure on highly indebted consumers, but indicated further easing would be gradual and dependent on data. "Let's just enjoy the moment for a bit," said Governor Tiff Macklem at a press conference after announcing the central bank had reduced rates to 4.75% from 5%, the first cut in four years.

From Mr N Tesla His words:
"When wireless is perfectly applied the whole earth will be converted into a huge brain, which in fact it is, all things being particles of a real and rhythmic whole. We shall be able to communicate with one another instantly, irrespective of distance.
Not only this, but through television and telephony we shall see and hear one another as perfectly as though we were face to face, despite intervening distances of thousands of miles; and the instruments through which we shall be able to do this will be amazingly simple compared with our present telephone. A man will be able to carry one in his vest pocket.”
He said this in 1926. It feels like he was pretty on point.
I wouldn't shoot him if I were you Spock, it will only make him mad.

They are not 'pro-Palestinian' protesters, they are a mix of 'pro-Hamas' and anti-semetic protesters.
The only way for there to be a 'free Palestine' is for both Israel and Hamas to get out.

You'd be mad to have a cash savings account. On top of the risks, they are paying below inflation interest (best is a touch above 5%) and you get taxed on any interest earned.

It frustrates me that I don't have any choice but to have money in the bank right now. Because we're planning the build of our forever home that hopefully will be commencing within the next 12 months, we really just don't have any choice but to have the funds sitting there and waiting for us to use them. We get 5.5% interest on it at the moment but as bug points out, that doesn't hit inflation interest and we pay tax on it as well. I'd rather have it put into far safer investment options but we need the flexibility of having it in cash in the account and it's far too much to have sitting under the bed or something equally as risky.
It's pretty stressful to have money sitting in the bank when my biggest concern is economic collapse. I'd much prefer to have that money spent on what it's intended for so that it can't be inflated away to toilet paper status or confiscated when we're not looking, but we can't do that just yet so I'll just sit here with my paranoia and hope it all goes to plan heh.

Bug, why not invest in a large mobile home based on a bus chassis. We did, when we were between farms reasoning that at least we had a home. When we bought up here, we could live in the bus on the farm whilst we built the houses.
I haven't lost my mind, it must be backed up around somewhere !

French snap elections called as right wing take majority in EU parliamentarian elections. Israeli parliament now in disarray, as major coalition partner pulls out. That with UK snap elections called. South African ruling ANC party got smashed last week for the first time got less then 50% of vote in 30years. The winds of change are blowing.
The big one comes in November with USA elections.

I predict September for the unrest to pick up, just as the conventions are taking off.
My reality cheque just bounced.
