The guy took his Hyundai EV to the dealer for a service in the UK and they gave the radio system and firmware update. While reading the T&Cs of the update, he found that it now had Geo-fencing and timed lockout installed in the system. It went on to say that it would only become active once the laws for such things were passed by the government.
So obviously the groundwork has well and truly been rolled out for the limitation of driving to the 15-minute city and government-mandated remote car disable, be it curfews or locked on certain days of the week, or locked out totally like for another covid style of tyrannical lockdown.
