I feed meat off cuts when we butcher a cow/deer and the birds love them and egg production goes crazy This was recommended by our local mobile butcher and certainly works In the absence of commercial feeds Maybe zombie flesh may be an alternative

One of the issues I have with our pigs sheep chickens etc is feed If shtf my last stop is a bulk buy of stock feed but this will not last forever How will you feed your large number of birds without commercial feeds?

I would avoid supermarkets chemists etc as too dangerous and we should have covered these stores already I would do nursery/ bunnings for seedlings to get a head start on future food production( already have seed bank) and rural supply stores for chicken pig etc feed salt wheat grains Less likely to be targeted by masses Our local poultry and livestock breeder would also be a visit Trying to avoid mass panic areas

When shtf Small units will happen, even if its a rush job It would be good to have some infrastructure in place so that people and family can slot into roles of defense, food production, housing ,etc I have a lot of family and friends who would show up post collapse They have pre defined roles and jobs Post collapse They just don't know it yet as they are not preppers

Agree with you shiney Unfortunately it only takes one or two people with poor posting skills to start a downhill spiral of defensiveness and arguing Some topics are more likely to cause major disagreements than others, especially if you have a passionate viewpoint Ausprep hasn't had these problems and is a great place to learn and discuss in a friendly manner Well done moderators!

You can never have too much ammo!!! Especially in calibres no longer that common It will only increase in value Stored properly means it will last ages and even if you don't use it yourself it is a great trade item Agree with frostbite FMj is a poor hunting round but penetrates very well Good for going thru solid structures Would get as much as I could in whatever I can
