Man I'd be up this like a rat up a rope if I wasn't way up here in CQ and broke therefore working 2 days a week. I'll be freer and (hopefully) have more funds in a couple of years, if this is still going then I will make the trip. I actually thought about flying you down to do a workshop or talk this morning mate. It might have to be a future thing, hang in there, be great to have you.

If it's a one-day event, I can arrange something. Heck, I'd be thrilled to give a workshop on old-school food preservation (fermentation and curing) just to show how easy it is. Most importantly, SWMBO has just given me permission. FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great, and yes id love to see that workshop. Youve got me thinking now about a bigger one day style event.

I wasnt expecting interest from some of you folk who are a bit away, but thank you, it would be great to have you all.
I now wonder if we should make it more of a day event and organise accomodation?
I can forsee something such as this becoming like the caravan and camping show in the future, but Prepping, self sufficiency. It would be a real buzz to be able to bring out folk from all over the world to speak and or teach train etc, as well as see companies that have all sorts of equipment and inventive ideas for off grid and survivalist stuff.

Love to come Bit of a trip for us gippslanders but nothing beats a meet u in person A formal teaching / presentation programme would be good Our meetups tend to try to do this but degenerate into beer fuelled conversations!!! lol, nothing wrong with a beer! Again mate, if you would like to run a workshop now or into the future let me know.

At the moment i was considering a Saturday some time for a couple or few hours. Family event, child friendly, no bad language in presentations. I have a decent hall out in the middle of nowhere available for the event.
1st workshop event is a BOB show and tell. 15-30 minute presentation. Someone brings their BOB and breaks it down on a table and talks about why they have it, and why they have packed it with what they have. They can then take questions from the crowd and discussion and thought is promoted, as well as preparedness brought into the field it exists contrary to many adverse opinions, that being 'smart!'
2nd workshop event is on Bee Keeping 40-50min. I have a apiarist and a number of people keeping bees available to take the presentations.
3rd workshop event is on an aspect of Building in todays climate with specifics focused on australia, regulations and the aspect of fear in relation to such. Interesting topic. I have a prepper friend who has built numerous houses, worked as a trady, has been alive a lot longer than me and is very intelligent in this respect. 50minutes.
None of these would be comprehensive of course, as time would not permit, however, the idea is to stimulate conversation and ideas, hve folk get questions answered, and all of which hopefully would lead into more interest in the subjects and more workshops.
I have an old blacksmith, solar nuts, electronics/airforce vets, goat keepers, farmers and more who might consider taking a workshop as well. The list could go on and on as to the topics we could run classes on.
So just some thoughts and hopefully people make some good contacts and or learn heaps and have fun, bit of social as well, bartering, possibilities as well.

Depending on when it is I'd be interested in popping over to say G'day. According to Google Horsham is only 4 and a half hours for me if I cut across the river on the ferry which makes the trip a possibility for sure. Very interested in new ideas on all the topics listed but particularly on the survivalist side of things. Regardless of the format you end up with I'd be keen to come meet a few people down that way, always good to expand the network. Para if you were coming over mate id have you taking a workshop bud, your full of good info many of us would benefit from, ill keep you posted as to how things go over time if we get enough support. I see this type of stuff as being able to take our interests to the next level of practical and be able to make a real difference in helping a lot more people as well as the next generation if it gets enough support.

Hi all, i am seeking out expressions of interest in anyone in or around these areas (or even further away if you would like to attend), that might like to attend a workshop night on Preparedness, Survivalist, Permaculture, Homesteading, Self Sufficiency topics.
Nothing has been locked in as of yet, however, i do have folk who are experienced in a variety of fields that will be bringing forth presentations.
If your possibly interested in turning up to something unofficial, having a cuppa and an easy day or night event and possibly meeting some great people who might be able to aid or advantage you in some way in your ways, please let me know.
Equally, if you feel you have something to contribute or suggestions please feel free to let me know. thanks

1. I like the fact that NK resist authority and show the world that they dont have to follow other ideologies or show fear or being controlled. 1a. Having said that, i don't agree with NK ideologies.
2. Can we conclude absolutely that the information we get isnt a false flag and a setup against NK for some reason? 2a. If it is, i concede that something needs to change as the bloke is a madman.
3. It certainly looks close to some pretty serious times, and what is concerning is the two EMP satellites that belong to NK that move over USA twice a day.
We live in interesting times, important to prep.

Very pretty spot that's for sure. Any plans to build something underground along with all the other plans? Root cellar, fire shelter, hideout?

So in the interest of developing this thread, how would others here deal with such a person if he endsd up in ykur sphere during or after a major event? In light of a response post major event, i might not have the time or care to respond the same as i could now. Further to this, if he were in my group now, rather than just someone i knew and wasnt dependent, my response would be very different. Due to time and trouble etc that events can bring, he would need to break out of his troubles or be on his own. Im all for helping folk, but they must help themselves unless they are clearly incapable of doing so (retarded, too old etc). He would need to contribute and would need to work on his weight and attitude very quickly. I deal with people in our groups the same today and have done for many years, and as you could imagine, in my profession we end up with all sorts, and sometimes the worst of the worst. At times unfortunately, i need to tell people to move on gently, and close the door, whilst others decide they want to go the hard way, oh well was their choice. My response is definitely different if the main is in our group or ends up as such, if he tries no problems, but if he doesnt when he can, no apologies as it was his choice to do such.

He would mock your faith, Token. That's what he normally does. I think he is a lost cause, quite delusional. Beyond saving. So in the interest of developing this thread, how would others here deal with such a person if he endsd up in ykur sphere during or after a major event? You might be right mate, i do not know. In general i do very well with folk that way inclined and often get asked to visit such as a last ditch attempt, as i dont fit the picture or audio people generally expect. I hope the fella does something productive with his life anyways.

Id befriend him for a while. Preach the Gospel to him here and there if he was interested, and ask him if he wanted to catch up now and then and maybe go for a shoot or do something together. Some folk ive found are stuck, but want to get out, just need to help with pulling a rope and inch a month or so to help them along.
