This is for a bit of fun! Trade Off! 1) In this thread state an item that you would be willing to trade with others. 2) The item/or items must be "Small Change" ie a few bits of ammo not a whole box, small soaps, mini bottles of alcohol etc. 3) You must currently have the item in your possession. 4) If you like an item posted by someone else and it would be of value to you please like the post. You can like more than one. 5) The item/items with the most likes will be considered the most valuable trade item for Auspreppers! 6) Try to come up with items others haven't already listed unless it is something like ammo which comes in a variety etc. 7) Have fun!

I have lots of essential oils. I also have tiny bottles to make up mixes of special "potions", so my trade item would be mini bottles of oil mixes to suit the needs of the other person - such as insect repellant, sting goes, anti viral, headache or other pain relief, aches, etc. I have a couple of particularly good mixes for itches and stings. I also make a good all purpose salve that I package in tiny lip balm sized jars.

I have 15 pool shock in glass vials, I can hand out 1 of them, no issue, each containing 10g that sanitize 2000L of water, lasts at least 100 years [found WW1 vials still fine] I already have fairly fresh pool shock, filters, rain catchment if I need. It is recommended that it is emptied into a known quantity of water as a concentrate such as the 1.25L soft drink bottle provided. 1 cap [5mls] will then make 8L of sanitised water. The drum is 60L, so 7-8 caps into the whole drum. - from the notes that I have with the vials that are in my 60L kits.
Remmy, how much soap are you willing to exchange for the chemical for 2000L worth of potable water? It's essential you know, you can always come back in a day or two if you like, if I have any left that is .

Soap, never have too much for hygiene IMHO. Shampoo is more about luxury, use the soap Thought it might be fun roleplaying some bartering.

So I have converted 2000l to gallons (because its easier to find info on gallons) and it is about 528 Gallons! For a family of 3 and using more than the recommended 1 gallon a day (3 litres) by using 3 gallons a day (I have a child so may need more) the water would last me about 56 days!!!! One of those small motel sized soaps could last about a week if you use it carefully! so 56 (water)/7 (days) = 8 bars of soap to give to you!! lol www.thereadystore.com/water-storage/3816/how-long-will-your-water-storage-last/

talking about this... I might actually start keeping cakes of soap instead of liquid soap. I find cakes last longer ...
For trading I have 1. sugar, salt satchets (kept in containers with dehumidifier and oxy absorbers) 2. mini cakes of soap, liquid soap/shampoo, 3. 10ml vials of iodine, alcohol, mineral oil (baby oil) 4. Dried chili, curry leaves

You can make liquid soap from cakes, just soak the cake in 3 times as much water and in a week it'll be liquid.

Hmmm, you guys will have to up the anti, nothing useful to me yet As to what I can offer, nothing during a WROL stage, I ain't dealing with anyone if I can help it. But when things settle down maybe a 22 gun and/or ammo or some hand tools as I have multiples of some, and by then I'll need food. EDIT: Sorry Rem, you said no large items, I removed the gun

Beers another way to make potable water. Europeans did it extensively, often drinking great amounts of lightly alcoholic beer.
Peter - Is the beer cold? I have rice I can swap KJ for KJ and I'll throw in a bag of sugar so you can make more.

You can make liquid soap from cakes, just soak the cake in 3 times as much water and in a week it'll be liquid. My wife and daughter did that and it was like washing with soap scum...no thank you!

What are you looking for with the Butter? The first thing that came to my mind was a couple of Avocados or Seed Potatoes
