That's the thing though, Armstrong is predicting based on a computer generated economics model. And extremely GOOD one, for sure. But he's looking at collapse from the economic perspective more so than global conflict. Obviously he throws a few metrics for global conflict INTO his economic approximations, but he's not going the other way around. He wants his results to tell him what happens when the economy collapses, not when a regional war breaks out in Asia. That means that his models are angled from that direction which could lead to a totally different outcome.
His predictions are pretty solid if you look at it through a specific economic lense. But has he specifically modelled what would happen if Pooh Bear declares war in Asia? I suspect only briefly, because that's not the centrepoint for his concern. Economics is. And sure, the global economy is what drives most everything. But a region-based war that the US is only involved in peripherally is far less of a concern for him and the US than it is for us here in Oceania.
Timelines are flexible and ever changing, but I tend to plan for the worst case rather than the best case. Especially when someone in Asia says they want to be ready for war in 2027 compared to someone in America saying that the economy is going to collapse in 2032. The global economy collapsing will be catastrophic. But so will a war in our region that we're likely to be fully invested in while the US is not.

He is after all, an economist and probably has much tied up in economic 'stuffs'.
But, if the economy's collapse, so does civilization, and visa versa.
War is coming, it was predicted over 2,000 years ago, are we ready ? No. But one things for sure, it will involve a lot more countries than WW1 and WW2 did. It will be a truly World War.
We do live in the most interesting time in history.
The only thing a Government needs to turn people into slaves is fear. Hermann Goering, Nuremberg trials.

When they say that china plays the long game Many Chinese even if not born in China will often regard China as their true / spiritual home, not all but many. Irrespective of their actual land of birth they consider themselves to be Chinese first and their actual birthplace and their National Passport to be of very little importance! "The Long Game" is very easy for them to play.

What sort of security do people here use on their computer, for say net browsing ?
I use 'Avast' now after being a loyal McAfee customer since my BHP days. I got sick of the continual upgrade messages and purged them from my system. Had no security for a while, but some of the utilities offered in the packages are good to have, hence the reason to get another supplier.
I've been asked: "How many guns do you need to have?" My answer remains the same: "One more."

www.forbes.com/sites/siladityaray/2023/09/04/chinese-gate-crashers-reportedly-trespassed-into-us-military-sites-and-other-secured-facilities-multiple-times/?sh=12073c53743aU.S. officials have recorded up to 100 instances of Chinese nationals—who identified as tourists—entering American military bases and other secured facilities, the Wall Street Journal reported, raising concerns about likely efforts by China to spy on sensitive military information. Travis Air Force Base in California. KEY FACTS According to the Journal, the Pentagon, FBI and other agencies conducted a review of the intrusions caused by the so-called “gate-crashers” in an effort to limit such trespassing. Examples of the gate crashing included instances of Chinese nationals crossing into a missile range in New Mexico and scuba divers swimming near a rocket launch site in Florida. While some incidents involved people following Google Maps directions to a McDonald's or Burger King located on military bases, other more serious instances include a group of Chinese nationals trying to push past guards at an army base in Alaska, claiming they had reservations at a hotel on the base. U.S. officials believe these intrusions are an effort to gauge the security practices at these sensitive sites, and the gate-crashers report back what they learn to the Chinese government, the report added. Some of these incidents have taken place in rural parts of the country—areas not recognized as tourist hot spots and located far away from major airports—which the officials believe lends credence to the belief that the gate-crashers were unlikely to be tourists.

Anyone remember the old TV series called "spy vs spy" ? Same thing going on here.
Governments produce scarcity by shutting off pipelines, shutting down farming operations, taxing productivity and deliberately causing food shortages and inflation. Money printing steals savings from everyone, creating scarcity of the purchasing value of dollars previously earned.

Thanks for the Heads Up! If anyone of Chinese ethnic extraction attempts to infiltrate our Overwatch Position.....ooops I mean my retreat....ooops I mean my little farm I'll be on em like a rash! Where I live there are two Chinese and two kids about 35kms away, the only ones for hundreds of square k's, their Mongolian Lamb is OK but a bit pricey! They actually had an incident once where some temporary kitchen staff hired for the holiday influx attacked the owner one used a cleaver on the other one! "A 45-year-old chef in New South Wales has been charged after he allegedly attacked his employer with a meat cleaver in a Laurieton restaurant on the New South Wales mid-north coast. The chef got into an argument with his boss about 1:00pm AEDT on Tuesday before allegedly grabbing the cleaver and hitting him on the head and shoulder. The 52-year-old restaurant owner was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital for treatment. The chef appeared in court yesterday and was charged with recklessly wounding another person. He was refused bail and is due to face court again on January 5."
