In 2023, the Army missed its recruiting goal of 65,000 soldiers by a shortfall of 10,000, with just 44% of new recruits categorized as white in 2023 compared to 56.4% in 2018.

As predicted by its leaders, the U.S. Navy has missed its recruiting goals for fiscal year 2023 by a wide mark, according to Navy Recruiting Command.

On Tuesday, the command said that it brought in 30,200 enlisted active duty sailors this year, about 7,500 people (20 percent) short of its goal. It also missed its target for Navy Reserve enlisted recruits by 1,000 people.

That's because we play too nice. Our strategy now is always go in, help the 'good guys' win, then leave. The enemy knows this. All they have to do is hang around and cause trouble until we inevitably leave.

Total destruction of the enemy's military by all available means and the country itself if necessary has historically been the way to win a war. We seem to have forgotten that.

Some questions are posed in this article, link below, have a go at answering them. (My answers in brackets).

Virtual reality or augmented reality? (Wont make any difference). Who will get quantum computing first, China or Google? (Doesn't matter as China, Google, X etc will no longer exist). Eventually, they edged into their real topic of concern: New Zealand or Alaska? (Neither, you are better off where you are comfortable and are now). Which region would be less affected by the coming climate crisis? It only got worse from there. Which was the greater threat: global warming or biological warfare? (Global warming is BS, WW3 will include bacteriological warfare). How long should one plan to be able to survive with no outside help? (Indefinitely). Should a shelter have its own air supply? (If its got to that, we are all f..d anyway). What was the likelihood of groundwater contamination? (Depends where u are). Finally, the CEO of a brokerage house explained that he had nearly completed building his own underground bunker system, and asked: “How do I maintain authority over my security force after the event?” (You can't). They think their status, money and so on will see them through. Never mind food production, clean water electric and so on. They are doomed before they start. The average person will eat nearly 2 tons canned food a year, just to survive, and that would gt rather boring. Relying on others for your welfare never works out well. Just maybe, if you had your own nuclear reactor for power, it may be possible to shut yourself away in a hermetically sealed environment, till the world is habitable, but I wouldn't like to be relying on it.

You can't go it alone. You need friends and neighbors.

Oh dear, they think this is all there is to survival. A rather small looking battery bank, and 4 Cat 50 kva diesel generators, with 44 gal drums fuel scattered around the bunker, with no obvious way to transport it through the whole bunker. They have no idea just how much diesel stinks when spilt in an enclosed space. They are doomed.

When ever I see these sort of things, I am reminded of a movie I saw many years ago, I think it was called the 666 man. It was about a man who saw the end of the world coming and retired to a underground bunker in the desert somewhere, complete with a lot of the treasures and knowledge of civilization. There was a nuke war and the resulting earth movements moved his bunker, shutting off the air supply . He determined to solve the number question whilst waiting his demise and had the combined knowledge of the world at his fingertips so to speak. Anyway, at the close of the film, he reveals that the number 666 is in fact the number of man. I suspect these billionaire bunker inhabitants are going to discover that for themselves WHSHTF.

These 'solutions' are fr too complicated and rely on far too much high tech to survive the coming events. You rely on so much 'stuff' to survive, and if it fails, its curtains. And speaking from experience, once one thing breaks, other things go down soon after.

Whats the good in having 4 generators if no one knows how to do an oil change ?

I think I prefer to take my chances on the surface. If its going to take this sort of thing to survive, its not survival, but only existence.

And I just don't get why people think bitcoin will be of any use whatsoever. Communications will be the first thing to fail. So how the hell will people ever be able to spend it?

They will only be loyal until the pay cheques stop
