Or a directed energy weapon. Does less satellites mean less ability for the leghumpers, local council fascists and assorted other do-gooders to spy on us? There’s tens of thousands of them in space. I saw about a dozen getting launched in the night sky above my retreat last year. I was there, just 8 ladies and myself, and we had no idea what they were at the time. General consensus in our drunken state was the start of an alien invasion. I suggested that all 8 ladies should make the most of their last night on Earth, sample some of ole Frostbite’s delights, but got a knock back from all of them, even the Mrs. Sucks to be me

Reflecting on my travels. Home safe and sound. A significant chunk of my work requires long haul travel. Literally flying over Iran - in fact Flightradar 24 had me literally over Isfahan - when Israel starting bombing the place. That is to close for comfort!! But better still was the apocalypse that was Dubai - the media (I dont think) - have truely showed how bad things were there. Getting back to normal, but talking to some locals it has been devestating. I always travel with a decent first aid kid and an EDC kit with me, and some more things in my checked baggage. But felt a very long way from home this time. I need to decide if long-haul travel is over for me, the problem is it pays very well........ but I didnt like getting caught like this. I prep to what I consider to be "reasonable worst case" scenarios - and I have WW3 on that list.... Flying into Sydney should be safe, as safe as a cost cutting Boeing aircraft can be.

I scored something much more precious than gold the other day. 1.5kg of pistol powder. And for only $100, when the going rate is over $1k.

Perth mint has stopped selling bullion. That is meaningful. I’m going to prep-con 3 settings. I’m off to top up my fuel reserves and get some extra groceries of the luxury kind. Potential for upheaval much higher than it’s been since 2008. Is that because they got caught selling diluted gold?

My son recently received some of these. He’s hoping to get to our retreat soon, where’s there’s no mobile access, to test them out.

My prediction is that within the next decade or two you won’t be able to tell the difference between the US and Haiti.

The problem is a lack of respect by youth. Mr Inbetween knows how to fix this:

We can’t even reverse engineer the pyramids. Humans might have modern technology these days but they are a lot dumber than the ancient Egyptians.

The rich will be in deep doggie do do when the 'poor' and 'middle' classes wake up to the fact they are being used and call a halt to it. No more servants, that's gonna hurt 'em. "When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.” I reckon this is just a fantasy of the lower classes. It's pretty rare in history that rich folks get rolled by people below them on the ladder.
Normally they get rolled by up-and-comers who sometimes uses discontented average folks to to their bidding. Those up-and-comers then get to become Top-Dogs.
The French Revolution was followed by the Reign of Terror, hardly the utopia the working class had envisioned.

Except nutcase won’t have a handgun because of his record of mental illness. Firearms Registry are very strict on this, one of my trainees was an ex cop who had a brief period where he was on medication for stress after an incident on the job, and his probationary pistol licence application was rejected for that reason.

This whole situation smells fishy. Iran gives Israel plenty of warning about an impending attack so that they can prepare for it, and then launch a slow motion attack that gives them almost 12hrs notice, enough time to destroy the incoming missiles and drones before they even reach the border, preventing death and damage from debris. It’s like Iran wanted to be seen responding to save face but didn’t want to do any damage that would cause the Israelis to remove Iran from the map. And my bet is Biden promised the Iran something in return.

If every law abiding citizen had the right to concealed carry handguns the situation would have gone down like this:
Nutcase pulls knife and approaches first victim, 2 seconds later is shot dead by armed citizen. Simples. A permanent solution to our mental health crisis, where the violent mentally ill are removed from society permanently at no cost to the taxpayer.

I believe the only impact we will see here is higher prices for fuel and any items that are, or can claimed to be, higher due to higher oil price. I have no doubt the supermarket duopoly here will raise prices on a range of items and blame it erroneously on higher oil prices. The poor will get poorer, the middle class will get poor and the rich will continue to profit.

Outdoor dining room now lined with fibre cement sheets. Won’t rot or warp, won’t have to be replaced for a very long time, because having a spare is good but not needing a spare is better.

Those Iranians have very short memories. Foreign embassies have been fair game for them for hundreds of years. Anyone remember how they overran the US embassy in Tehran in 1979?

Unless you have a son who is a glazier with lots of free or cheap glass to build a greenhouse to extend the growing season.
There’s no shortage of firewood either. Enough to see my grandchildren into old age.

I’m going to try that on my Taipan, that uses AR mags, see how much pressure (and stupidity) is required to get the mag to stay in place backwards.
