Glass defeats my $6000 thermal scope. Just can't see through it.

Good video on concealment from drones.
I watched a fair bit of that video before I fell asleep. What makes morons with verbal diarrhea think they know enough about a topic to make a youtube video? Especially when the content of their video is a few combat photos stolen off the internet and a reference to a USMC manual. What WOULD be interesting is how one might evade high end thermal surveillance. Like does lazerlite sheeting work as well against military grade thermal as it does the civilian stuff. Or does Max Velocity's thermal shield poncho really work?

So long as the supply of whisky, Cuban cigars and Vietnamese backpackers aren't affected. Oh wait....

1070's? Damn you're old. Whilst rising prices of coal and gas in the northern hemisphere might be interesting, I can't see it having a negative impact here. It might even be a boom for our coal and gas industries.

How would Evergrande collapsing impact you? Is your super fund an investor in Chinese real estate?
An economic collapse in China or the US won't impact me, so I'm not bothered.

I've been holding my own industrial action against Post for 6 months. I refuse to deliver more than two thirds of my work, because they expect me to do 60 plus hours a week, and they are too dumb to manage me properly, so they pay someone else to finish my work, often on double time on a weekend.
In 23 years I never met a Post manager who knew anything about leading people.

I suspect a large part of that $600 mil is Govt advertising, designed not to look like blatant electioneering.

Not at all. I sure the heads up is appreciated by Qld members, but anyone who has just started prepping more than a year into the worst pandemic in a century isn't smart enough to heed your warning.

I also have all the gear to reload all those calibres plus some other common ones I don't have, like 243, 270 and 45acp, just in case. I suppose I should get dies for 7.62x39 and 303 as well.

Any prepper who isn't already well sorted for ammo isn't really a prepper. Yes very true, but I made the mistake against my better judgment, could not help myself and purchased two new calibers, now have to stock up while prices are going up. Then there is the temptation of shooting too much and setting in scopes etc......... I tried to stick to the .22, 9mm, 223, 308, 12g mantra, bought in bulk, then my son buys a 338lm and my daughter decides only a 357mag revolver will do for her little hands. And I see a 30/30 lever I just have to have.

The union leadership in this country is a gutless disgrace. As soon as mandatory vaccinations were announced we should have seen a nationwide strike, with every union standing in solidarity.
Unfortunately union leadership is either spineless or in bed with management. And a large part of the workforce are selfish and gutless, not prepared to lose a few days pay for the greater good.
Some years ago my employer introduced some changes to how we do our work, which appeared to be very minor (an extra tick when conducting our daily vehicle check), but which could have removed our access to compensation in an accident. Our on site union delegate, ex navy, refused to complete the new form and was stood down on the spot. I told him he'll never walk alone, refused to sign, and was also stood down. Out of approx 70 staff in that facility, only 7 refused to sign and were stood down. The rest bent over for management. I called us the Magnificent 7. We were stood down for 4.5 days until we won our case in the IRC. Watching a Commissioner verbally tear the head off our evasive State Manager remains one of my happiest moments. I had a mortgage and a young family, but I also have a backbone. It's a damn shame most workers in this country don't.

What sort of man attacks a woman? Especially an elderly woman. Especially one that is on the ground, helpless.
Not the sort of man that should wear the uniform.

Can we get enough crew for those subs? I seem to remember quite large monetary incentives being offered to retain experienced submariners some years ago.

All that money wasted on subs, when they could have picked up all those M4's and AK's the yanks left in Afghan for free, handed them out to willing local school kids and gone the full Red Dawn on those Chinese arses.
I'll have a free M4 with Acog please, Mr Prime Minister.

DD, You are amazing. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how one could fertilize their garden when fertiliser can't be obtained from the store. I understand one's fertiliser needs depends on the soil type, but are their typical requirements? Are things like seaweed and wood ash useful?

And some training to go with the supplies I assume. I did a tactical trauma course before covid hit and ended face to face training, but would like to do a similar hands on course that deals with long term treatment of minor injuries.
