Consider this a hijack Just to steeps post, some may know I'm following Yellowstone and other minor natural events, through my travels I met a bloke that has inside knowledge on the happenings of Yellowstone Well to summerise a major shift event pn that volcano happened in 2012 and was kept very hush hush Another one, 2 largish astroids have passed very close to earth in the past 2 years (that i know of) and no notice was given till they were seen over land, they were both non events but zero notice on any of the conmon channls... (Normally star gazers post photos and look at this all over the web and facebook) To make a point, the bulk of the world will have no clue when any such event would happen and the ones that are in the know will keep it so close to heart that we won't know till the symptoms are apparent.... Just be aware of this, use forums not only for information but a early warning system, make some friends in the USA, Canada, UK, and nz (and any other that float your boat) use social media if it works for you, at the end of the day the government don't give a flying f about us but about themselves, and maintaining power when the world is finished... (2012 is a perfect example of how the government will act) As preppers this info is neither here or there, but its important to understand, we are on our own You hit the nail on the head mate.

Kingcrome is now a bunnings brand so likely not so independent Really? I find that a little hard to believe considering a few stores here stock that almost exclusively! I know of two stores in 30 mins drive of me who stock it to the eyeballs! Honestly, it's like an adult store for people who love good tools!

Ok looked at 5 main options regarding milk, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed, full cream in a tin, full cream in a bag and skim in a bag. They ALL had an expiration between June and August of next year. Every single one! Lol

Here's something, any ideas of a compact multi tool I could stash in my bag? Can't be too expensive or the prep police won't allow it, lol

Big dogs are a huge deterrent I have found. One neighbour got robbed over xmas. We left our boy with run of the yard as usual, not even a broken window. Plus we keep to ourselves. Abs the front of the house looks as trashy as the rest of the street on purpose. No garden, lawn gets neglected, lol. It's served us well to look like we spend our money on grog or drugs like most of them.

For me it really depends. As I love in a rural town, certain things are less of a threat. In small towns, you're nobodies priority, either to attack or assist. But (always a but hey, lol) is rather big out than in because while I have a few gid neighbours, most in my area are scum. We have even had riots for goodness sake! Imagine if anything went down! Nope, me n mine will be long gone before they even consider looting my house. Already have most survival great we need, just working on thriving gear plus, I have a prep mate. If his family need to get out, I'd rather get out at the same time. Better to support each other from word go than wait till things get hairy where I am and joining them imho.

I'm still working on it tbh, but much of it is in regards to needing to move with the kids, and as we are most usually with the bf (who I have labeled the prep police, lol) most tools etc are already in the car along with a fire extinguisher, water etc

Lol, I must be the only person who has parenting things and grt home gear in their handbag. .. (Yes, even that is part of being a female gray man lol) not too many girls keep electrical tape, a small folding knife, torch, spare money, or a mini fak in their handbag (honestly my handbag is like the tardis! Lmao)
