Hey guys and gals,
I know the shoutbox gets deleted every day to speed up the site and whatnot, which is fair enough. What i am wondering is we could get a thread going, or another sub board, that we can get the shoutbox saved to?
I know there are some great conversations i have seen so i can only imagine how many have happened while I havent been on.
I just figured if we can save the board every day to a new thread, people can catch up on general shoutbox convo they missed and we can all get all the cool web links and whatnot.
Just a thought, what do you guys think?
Cheers Reth

i reckon do it once a month, whoever asked this month PM someone to randomly ask next month, give us all incentive to improve on where we are or be called out on it!

I am at home today so it wouldnt be to bad. Food we have about 8 weeks but only 2-3 weeks of meat. Water is a mild concern but if I had a couple hours waening I could fill baths and whatnot.
Security isnt to bad between firearms, bows and everything.
Main issie is power. I have no source of power at all. Not even a bloody camping gennie.
Also injuries, my fak is almosy nonexistent so that needs work as well.

It's Hamas' fault for actively operating close to dense civilian populations. But it's working for them, public opinion mostly backs Palestine and by default, Hamas. And it's Israel's fault for not being more conscious of that tactic, resulting in civilian casualties. I dont think either side can lay all the blame at the other, I only feel sorry for the non combatants on both sides. As you said templar, Hamas operates in dense population centres and Israel is quite content to fire on them regardless. I am not a bleeding heart liberal by any stretch of the imagination but this is beyond fooking pointless

as mentioned by almost everyone here, i to am always free to chat, the missus suffered pretty bad post-natal depression after our first 2 kids and I believe she was a sufferer before this due to her nutso mother, it isnt easy but having people around you that gie a genuine damn as to whether you live or die is important.
Please dont fight this battle alone, there are many people here who will do what we can to help!

good on him, while I am not the biggest fan of the police as an institution, and i realise there are a lot of coppers out there on power trips, I have met quite a few, especially in rural areas, that are good blokes who just want to help..

gray - those shots are good enough to be promotional shots for camping and 4wding in Australia, a lot of us 'want' to do this and that, and never seem to find the time/money/inclination, but you..... well, the photos say more than i ever could :-)

I have also dried out 5 punnets of mushrooms we picked up for $1 each. I will be buying some frozen peas and corn tomorrow and trying to dry that out as well.

had my first batch of mince jerky today, used some of my cayenne spices (lots of cayenne and paprika with some other things), came out pretty good it has a different texture, more "crumbly" than normal but good nonetheless.
The jerky gun worked ok, the wide narrow attachment didnt work the best but the round one worked a treat. The flat one kept breaking apart.
All in all I am very happy and will be buying 5-10kg of mince this weekend (if i go into town) to start mass production :-)

OK, so I finally got it all together. The 2 main attachments are in the picture above, the round one looks like it will end up like twiggy sticks and the flat one seems a bit fragile. I will be putting them on tomorrow as i filled the dehydrator with $5 a kilo mushrooms :-)

if your not to 'switched on' with electrical wiring, a good option would be to go for your Restricted Electrical Licence, the course is done at night in some states and it goes a long way to teaching you the basics.... and as a bonus you get a D class licence as well!

i have heard of people preserving polenta for quite a long time, it just reacts to water a lot worse than rice or wheat does, so you really need to make sure it is dry, maybe even put it throuhg a dehydrator for a few hours straight from the packet before sealing it away
