i personally think this product has more in common with 0:20 in the youtube video than solving the environmental crisis. Don't get me wrong, i love the idea of home biogas but not this product. it looks as flimsy and durable as a 5 dollar kmart camp chair.
the Chinese have been doing home biogas since jesus was a boy. there are some good youtube clips about how they do it as well as some more durable DIY jobs based on plastic drums.

i've tried to download a copy of the critical water shortages disaster plan but can only obtain the summary. apparently the plan is very detailed but why no access to it online?

i heard Norway was dipping into their sovereign fund to fill their budget deficit. i remember how our future fund was squandered away. i hope Norway has the sense not to keep sneaking into the till to pay for budget deficits.

This will be a great opportunity to observe the signs and indicators of a collapsing city. it will provide valuable information on how government will react to the declining situation and what actions they choose to take. This info could possibly be translocated to many similar shtf senarios and a person with experience in observing these actions could have the jump on most others in such a situation. even if the government is remaining tight lipped about what ever the issue is keeping an eye on the key indicators of this particular situation will be valuable.
it would be good to highlight the key issues, decision points and responses by the gov and population on this thread as they are observed.

Not wanting to dampen anyone's enthusiasm for the property market as i feel it has a way to run before people get burnt too much, but the sentiments about the market continuing to grow sound exactly like what people were saying prior to the 1929 great depression which most people considered impossible to happen prior to it occurring. The thing to remember with property prices is that houses and land are the same as everything else, and are only worth what people are willing to pay. If there are no buyers then you may not even be able to give houses away... A friend of mine currently owns a new home built in Queensland to cash in on the new coal mine that was going to employ thousands....his house cost $300k to build he cannot get tenants at any price and the house next door to his was sold recently at auction for $120k.....I asked him why he does not sell in Melbourne since he is retired and live in the Queensland house himself..... even he does not want to live there...so what can you say.... I see his house possibly sitting empty until vandals destroy it. Meanwhile he is pouring money into his negative geared loan like a bottomless money pit..... So never forget how quickly things can turn around and people stampede in mob mentality. mining booms are a good example of how economically daft most people are. In early out early is the key to profit during a mining boom.

There have huge oil and gas discoveries - the idea of peak oil where the world runs out of oil is no longer a reality for the next 100years, electric cars are also now being developed and produced by very many companies and some countries are looking at outlawing liquid fuel vehicles. Yeah war in Asia which is a likely scenario could easily overnight bring on a fuel shortage. Having some fuel stored is a necessity for emergencies, esp if you work or stay far from your bug in/out location. totally agree. hybrids and ev will replace oil before the oil runs out. oil prices will rise in the future cause people won't want it anymore even for plastics.

www.safework.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0005/50729/storage-handling-dangerous-goods-1354.pdfthis is the go to guide for dangerous goods (including ammo and bulk fuel) in nsw. look up safework vic,qld etc for your relevant state. I use 60litre oil drums for bulk storage. they are tough, i can lift them easily and move them quickly if i need too. the 200 L drums are good if you don't intend to move if shtf. just ask old mate at your local mechanic as they are usually keen to off load them

i was reading a plaque at bullita homestead where the Durak family settled back in the real old days in the victoria river distric NT. the wife and kids would dig a hole in the shade and settle there on the extreme heat days. if it was dangerous heat i'd do similar. my dog does the same type of thing in Broken hill so there is some sense it it all. apart from that its shade, water and electrolytes if im working.

we went to a free range pig farm in coffin bay this week. the bacon this man made was brilliant. his pork roast was almost a life changing event for me....wow🐷 if' n' when we get our own patch i think pig, chicken and lamb will be the best choices for a smallish block. i like beef but dealing with a big carcass might be too mich to deal with. Coffin Bay? ? Just around the corner from where I live!! You from down this way?? no just on holidays from Broken hill. i could see myself living there one day though. fishing is great and land is relatively cheap. i jist need a job there🙂

i know for a fact that many small towns don't bother advertising jobs cause they can post in a paper, internet or what ever and get no interest at all for months and even years. Better to door knock in these areas as you'll be surprised what is available to the right person. This is particularly the case with some "professional" jobs in a local council. when i've moved to remote locations my missus has picked up great jobs within two weeks, regularly. i was always surprised the number of vacant positions with gov, business, farming that can't be filled cause there is no max brenner or similar useless hipster conveniences at those locations.

i reckon SEQ is in for a bit ot a pizzling as well. It's trajectory says it will head back out to sea near harvey bay and will possibly intensify again. its then projected to swing back towards the coastline south of brissy. Heavy rain on top of a full catchment could mean flooding for SEQ and northern rivers catchments.
could be a bit of a double whammy for QLD.
good luck mozzie.
