Just buy something with nice wood that looks pretty.
Everything that looks/acts a tiny bit military/starwars is going to end up banned eventually.
Gentleman's arms will be the last to go because a few really rich folks like to have them too.

And always wear tweed when out with a firearm. It makes you seem 'harmless' to anyone who sees you.

This crazy woman does a daily video gun that they get in. Dont see any gun shortage there,
It makes one want to immigrate to the US just for the shopping.

I don't feel fear, but if I did my greatest fear would be rocking up to this shop with $100k in my pocket, 5 minutes before closing time, and seeing a busload of Vietnamese bikini models pull up across the road. Damn! I've had the great pleasure of getting my grubby mitts on one of those Tavors. An outstanding rifle, it just came to the shoulder and fit so well. Pity I'm a leftie. Although the M4 I shot had a nasty habit of ejecting into my face as well.

Was at a very small firearm dealer in NSW on Saturday (rush of blood to the head and purchased a 410 shotty), The dealer said only just got powered in the last week and its has all sold out. I found it strange but watching these guys they say they are getting powder in from Australia (6:38 in vid) but due to shipping regulations not allowed to transport more than one container of powder past NZ per ship... !!! Also say that all countries and civilians are now purchasing ammo including European civilian market (9:45 in vid), that there is a worldwide shortage.. Next month will be stock up on ammo month......

Questions......
While going through Joey catalog of gear, I see he has "bolt pouches".... That brings up a couple questions... I presume that means to transport your bolt action firearms, you need the bolt removed and stored separately from the fire arm... Is that about it ??
So that needs the question asked... How do you transport, say a pump, or lever action, or other firearm that can't be readily disassembled ??
Teach me...

If not, as in pump or lever actions, you leave the bolt in. Some people put a trigger lock on pumps or a cable on levers. Handguns must be transported in a locked case secured to the vehicle with a trigger lock fitted or otherwise temporarily unable to fire. As always, ammo in a seperate locked container.

Good little .303 carbine for the ferals but at $600 a stupid ask! The rear sight ears would make a good place to set a piece of rail to mount a Red Dot!

This showed up on usedguns.com.au last night! Absolute bargain at $775 and categorised as "Very Good" condition! Ruger American in 7.62x39 with 3 Ruger mags, Flash Hider and enhanced bolt handle! Needless to say it went very quickly! Whoever this bloke was he knew how to set up a fast Practical Rifle for hunting ferals or for SHTF if he needed to repurpose his gun to deal with an "emergency"!! Sadly it was from a Deceased Estate. Rest In Peace Mate!

I read some of an article the US Air Force is buying an AR style rifle in 762x51 that comes with an optic and silencer..
This for there base security teams.. As a private mechanical contractor, on the bases I worked on, this on both sides of the border... Air bases can and routinely do some not so smart things.. However.... There base security teams, you don't mess with AT ALL...
My 5 cents of experience..

It comes standard with suppressor for noise and gasses - supposed to allow better comms between team members and does not give you position away, less recoil. Also 2" smaller barrel... Also now standard with optics. I understand the XM5 has 3 burst automatic mode.
