I ended up going with the Tikka .308 CTR as my carbine (if 20" barrel qualifies as a carbine). It's a reasonably light rifle to carry and its accuracy and smooth action has a smile on my face already.

I agree that good training is critical, but would add that bad training could make you critical, or worse.
Standing upright in the open while changing mags might be a recipe for disaster, especially when he has'cover' a pace or two to his left.

Just a random sample and it is a serious flaw in all these American "Tacticool" videos. The paper plates aren't shooting back so it's not a problem just ask them! Interesting how the Bolt on that Ruger Scout starts to bind at the end!
