Australia does have a bad habit of getting involved in conflicts that don't really have much to do with us. We'd have to actively choose to participate in a conflict with the CCP. We aren't one of the dozen or so countries that the CCP is trying to take territory from, though the obvious next one is over the Australian Antarctic Territory which they have built 'research' bases on and do not recognise our sovreignty over.

Or they might rape our northern fishing grounds.

Ran across, and lost, a small article about China shooting mobile land base missiles at a target ship in the South China Sea (?)
This among a US carrier group operating near there in support of operations by countries in that region.. China shooting a type #21 and #26 missiles a considerable distance...
This action NOT a coincidence I suspect...

XI has ordered the army to be on a war footing for imminent action/deployment. Some yanks I'm chatting to are speculating it could be to do with the US election that will come out tonight our time and if the US devolves into "civil war" China and other parties may send "peacekeeping" troops into the US to "assist" considering that China already has a bunch of troops stationed just over the border in Canada allegedly doing "training" exercises. Or could be planning their final move on Taiwan while the US is tied up in their own squabble that they won't be able to activate their troops to assist the pacific fleet to help defend Taiwan.

The Chinese are not going to US soil regardless of the outcome tonight. That would unite he US and they would have their butts handed to them. Taiwan is onthe cards but again that would also possibly create a unifying event. They will sit back and use cyberspace to create as much havoc as they can and weaken the west from within, so BAU. We are too fat, lazy and apathetic to care let alone develop an effective counter to this insurgency. . Read this Abc article on chinese infiltration. Be concerned, very concerned and spread the word cause this shit has to end. “Mr Liu told the ABC he believed ASIO had assessed him as a security risk because he was the president of a popular Australian-Chinese neighbourhood watch organisation which had an agreement to take instructions from the Chinese consulate in Melbourne. The group, the Australian Emergency Assistance Association Incorporated (AEAAI), acts as a middleman in police incidents and legal cases involving Chinese speakers. The association has promoted itself as a grassroots community platform to its more than 55,000 members from the Chinese diaspora in Australia on the Chinese social media platform WeChat. It has more than 1,000 volunteers who promise to race to the scene of incidents across Australia in a matter of minutes.”

"A Melbourne-based Chinese businessman who has aligned himself to prominent Liberal Party MPs is facing deportation after being assessed by ASIO as a national security risk, an ABC investigation can reveal."Former PLA member living in Australia and the other one is Michael Sukkar the Assistant Treasurer no less!!

Mate, how does a suit wearing, red wine sipping businessman get a higher security risk rating than you? You really need to lift your game, or you'll never get my Numba 1 ranking

China's B&R is nefarious to say the least. In short, the plan is as following:
1) Give low/no interest loans to any country that has been refused by the IMF/World Bank due to human rights (or similar)/economic management issues. 2) Fund an infrastructure project that ties in to a Chinese owned factory/natural resource in that country that the CCP wants to use. 3) When the debt can't be repaid, play nice and let them off by taking over the piece of infrastructure. 4) Use this funding model to ensure these countries vote with the CCP in the UN etc.
It's called the debt trap and it has been amazingly successful and very cheap to implement. It's madness that any western nation would take the bait on something aimed at third world dictatorships.
