"We can't afford kids". Better go tell my great-grandfather who had 8 kids during the depression that he was actually wrong. The same people tend not to have trouble affording an apartment in a trendy area, a car, big tv etc. It's our fault. We've raised a generation of selfish, non-resilient fools who are hellbent on removing themselves from the gene pool. There will be a lot very lonely people in poorly staffed retirement homes in a few decades time, who will be jealously eyeing their neighbours getting visits from the grandkids. Perhaps handing a Darwin Award to everyone who says "we don't want kids" would wake a few of them up. I bet you'd be real fun at a party...

I’ve got 1 of each. Their mother and I stopped at two because she stayed at home until they were both school age, so with just one income ( well two because I worked two jobs) and a mortgage, two was about all we wanted to afford. My kids didn’t miss out, they had motorbikes and horses, but expensive holidays didn’t happen. Or new cars. Or eating out. Or the latest electronics. Which is why so many young couples don’t have children. They won’t give up their lattes and smashed avo and overseas trips every year and latest $1500 phone and gym membership etc etc.

THere appears to be confusion about family size of people from the dawn of time till the mid 60’s when birth control pills became widely available and where we are at now comparing the two timelines is not possible. There were laws preventing birth control in many countries right up to the modern era. There are still many who don’t believe in birth control. Granddad was likely a symptom of the times than a firm family planning decision. But i definitely agree there is a rising element of people who won’t have kids for a range of societal justifications. It seems the government response is increase immigration from many countries that may not share, acknowledge or value our way of life. I mean jeebus there is now a “morning after” pill to clear you of syphilis!! that speaks volumes. Get out and use ya tallywhackers for the good of the country! your aged care depends on it.

Can I use that as justification if Mrs Frostbite catches me with the Viet neighbour or one of her blonde friends?

On the bright side, those in the the LGBTQ+/~#@ community can now safely enter Palestine and have no worry about being thrown off a tall building.
Hamas have said, they got none left.
<yes yes may be too soon, I get that>

Definitely seems like the US smelled Hezbollah coming. Can't say I'm surprised even a little bit. The only question is, which one is more keen to start punting warheads. I feel like they're both as excited as each other -.-

You sleep with dogs, you wake up with fleas.
You sleep with Hamas, you wake up with a missile on your head.
It’s not rocket science. Most of those ‘innocent’ civilians in Gaza have supported baby killing terrorist group Hamas for years. I have no sympathy for them.
And it’s not like Israel is having a real go anyway. 2 weeks of war and they’ve killed less than .5% of the population of Gaza. Like that’s a pretty pathetic effort, guys. Lift your game.

Here we go more escalation, US active in Gaza, and passes resolution to get Iran using all means necessary. US Has Advanced Drones Flying Over Gaza, Elite Commandos In Israel, Aiding Hostage Recoverywww.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/us-has-advanced-drones-flying-over-gaza-elite-commandos-israel-aiding-hostage-recoveryHouse Passes Resolution That Suggests Using Force Against Irannews.antiwar.com/2023/11/02/house-passes-resolution-that-suggests-using-force-against-iran/The resolution calls for the US to use 'all means necessary' to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons The House on Wednesday passed a resolution that suggested the US would use force against Iran in the future in the name of preventing the country from acquiring nuclear weapons. The resolution says a nuclear-armed Iran is “unacceptable” and declares that it’s the policy of the US to “use all means necessary to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.” A US intelligence report recently affirmed that Iran is not pursuing nuclear weapons, but reality doesn’t stop Iran hawks in the US and Israel from constantly hyping up the threat of a non-existent Iranian nuclear weapons program. The same officials do not officially recognize that Israel possesses a nuclear arsenal. The resolution passed in a vote of 354-53, with 50 Democrats and three Republicans voting against the measure. Explaining his opposition, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) because it seemed like a call for war. “Yesterday Congress passed a resolution (354 to 53) that claims Iran possesses all it needs for a nuclear weapon,” Massie wrote on X. “The same resolution says the US should ‘use all means necessary to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.’ Seems like a call for war on Iran. I voted No.”

Midnight tonight AU time will be interesting. One eye on Brazil F1 racing, the other on WW3 starting after deadlines have passed, at midnight (our time of course).
USA is bringing the world into WW3.

Actually it was midnight last night, and it was a big fizzer. The ultimatum was stop or we will kill you and Israels reply was release the hostages and we will stop..... Thats if the hostages are still alive, if not, its on. My take on WW3.....it wont be a published event, but a quiet bang going off that is hushed up and censored. By the time the truth has leaked out that someone has nuked someone else, it will be far too late to stop. If they (the isrealites) get wind that the hostages are dead, then they will flood the tunnels and hunt the terrorists out.
War is hell, especially if you are in the middle of it.

We certainly live in interesting times. Not much of the year left, the wars have started the economy by all accounts has only one way to go... To me it would be the trigger for collapse but the wars started early... Will see how my predictions for the year go....
