I was a competitive archer awhile ago now, was never interested in hunting with a bow though. Still go out for a shot every so often but not as often as I'd like.

Seems like they were mocking the grab bag from the start.
Then this just proves they have no idea straight off the bat.

But most of these bags wouldn't keep people alive for long says expert
Pointing out the obvious while showing they dont know much on the subject? Since when was a small bag going to keep people alive for long no matter whats in it, its also not the purpose of a grab bag.

Could make an interesting TV series, kind of like that "top Shot" series. All based on a theme and having different competitive events each week based on that theme where the person who comes last that week is eliminated until we have a winner.

I built my own for my shed. Simple enough to do really though probably not something to play with unless you know your way around electricity.
Most of the stuff you buy has small capacity NiCad batts. They generally don't have a great runtime or life expectancy.
I ended up using several left over 12v7Ah SLA batts and LED strip lights. 2x12v7A batts per fitting from memory. The SLA's last years and the small drain of LED's means they can last for many days (depending on usage of course), especially with a solar panel trickle charging the system.

At 20 I had a full time job, my own car and licence, a boat licence, already a certified master scuba diver, had multiple category firearms licence with several years experience and over a dozen firearms to my name, had certified first aid training and probably other things I can't think of right now. I may not have had as much experience as I do now, a decade later, but I was pretty darn wise and responsible at that age. 20 year olds are not as young as they used to be. I said most 20 yos not all! Some are more capable than others! Ahh fair enough |

I used to always pay for everything with cash nowadays with paywave etc it's so convenient to just use that instead.
I still keep enough cash in the wallet to get me out of trouble but it usually sits in there untouched for weeks at a time and only gets used when I can't use the card.
I'd never not have atleast some cash on me, kinda feel naked going to pay for something and not having a cash backup.
