I've read through a fair bit of this report. Holy moley this is pretty sad stuff. I don't know what to think yet so dot points will have to do.
1. The SASR and commando units are going to go through some serious reform. It has to after this but i can’t help but feel the aftermath will be a pussified version of what it was before the rot was set in. Maybe the rot was always there bit i’d like to think it was not.
2. there is a big emphasis on the conduct of patrol commanders and rightly so. However how do we scrutinise Aussie involvement in all these useless wars? In my opinion the only war we needed to fight was the war in the pacific against the japs and Timor. All others involved diggers being the lapdog of more powerful countries. Afghanistan was an unwinnable war from the onset so why no enquiry into political conduct leading Australia to unsubstantiated wars?
3. The report suggests the overall power of the NCO. Dangerous stuff when left unattended. These nco’s were responsible for SAS selection How many good soldiers missed oit cause they did not meet some of the sicko unwritten prerequisites?
4. The term operator and other jargon seem to be used to put these lads on a pedestal. They are soldiers on government dime.
5. The process of so called “blooding” by killing a pow is actually a pussies way of getting their first kill. It must have damaged a lot of good blokes beyond repair.
6. 2 blokes as witnesses seems to have kicked this off. There is a lot of unsubstantiated tuff out there and some units have gone into secret squirrel mode.
7. One of the most recent VC recipients could be in the crap. He will likely have some of his awards withdrawn whether he was involved or not. Certain rotations will see all patrol commanders lose their distinguished service medals.
8. The report had a weird format. There was a big slab on historical context to Australian war crimes in the past. This tried to demonstrate or report on the cultural progression of war rules as well as how this stuff ADF began in the first place. I thought this part was really poorly constructed.
9. By doing this, some units were likely worse than the taliban in they eyes of the locals. It appears some Aussie units were the terrorists.
10. I learned a lot about rules of engagement and the whole sh!tload of rules and regs. We risked all our reputation on fighting a BS war against goat herders and mountain men. We lost. How the fark could anyone wage a real war with all that crap to consider?Oh hang on let's not go there in the first place, that would be a good start.
That’s all i got for now.

I actually agree things need to change because heading down the same path will lead to a greater involuntary reset for just about all of us. But there are other ways to do this. So to get the ball rolling i’d like to see Gatesy, the facebook bloke, Gore, Bush, Queeny, Murdoch, Rockerfella, Reinheart etc relinquish all assets, cash, stocks, property and other money making tools to make this happen. Put ya money where your mouth is.
In all seriousness just take a look at the QLD election. That mole used the lockdown emergency powers to increase her voter base and won the election by a decent margin. Everyone knows the Qld’ers love the idea of closed borders. They used to moan about this when i was working up there so it was a logical thing for the premier to capitalise on. However why is she not in jail for using emergency powers and restrictions for political gain? and why has no media picked up on this and questioned it? there was no medical advice to support this action just politics, the c-nt had the audacity to open up the border a day before the election!. The reset began a long time ago. It’s a intergenerational war against freedom. Every generation is having less notion of what freedom is. If lil Timmy does not know what true freedom is then he won’t fight for it. He’ll take his medicine and ipad and go play quietly in the corner like a good boy. His kids will be lining up to get the probe without complaint then going back to what ever black mirror type horrors are in-store for us in the future.

Yep i’ve already seen a massive change in what ABC is reporting on. Its so f-ing cringeworthy. The SJW bandwagon is in full motion. Take a look at their website. It is appalling how many social agendas are being rammed down the publics gullet. cringe
cringe2
cringe 3
cringe 4
cringe 5!
The creeps have crawled out from their rock caves. If Trumpet did one thing well it was that he gave the right a voice to counter this sob story BS.

There are also old villages/settlements along the old train lines. Might be some options there too. the line from Mt Isa to Townsville has a few but they are fairly close to the main road.

Yeah, but, How do you feel about your taxes going to 'support' the lobster exporters? Because that is highly likely to happen. These guys are already hurting because their new Mercedes and Porsches are taking so long to arrive from Germany. What if they have to be seen driving last years model next year? I’d say F-off. The WA gov tried to secure some local supply but they big players bleated about how bad this was for the industry. Well comeuppance has arrived. so tell me how bad is it for the industry to have over 98% reliance on China? They can GGF and EAD.

Friends of mine in the SE of SA are vineyard contractors - got sick of locals whinging " these workers are taking away our jobs" So, they hired three - at lunch time they came up and said "We quit, pay us" He asked "Why?" They replied " We only wanted enough money for a carton of smokes and a few slabs of beer" He never hired another Aussie again. Maybe my work for the dole wasn't such a good idea! My opinion is those blokes should not get the dole after they did that.

I helped administer the Work for the Dole scheme over 20 years ago. A major issue was employers ditching paid staff and replacing them with free labour. Yeah that is a good point and have seen that myself. My vision would be to offer them a job then cut the dole altogether. These co-payments don’t provide enough oompah to get off the tit. He job obviously needs to be FT but not necessarily permanent to allow the person to have a meaningful existence. Another thing and going out on a limb is how about we stop exporting our best produce and keep some for us? Most of the fresh produce at the shops tastes like peen while the good gear is sold to overseas buyers. I’m willi g to pay but how do i get access?

the dole should be based on how many buckets or bags they pick not hours worked, make it productivity based and it could help some long term recipients see the light that some hard work has rewards. It’s too soft and no penalty seems to apply for the ones who will not work. All we have done is reinforce the entitlement by being soft on the allocation and management of the dole. sure there will be exceptions but here is a job out there for most people.

We are ploughing food back into the ground. link
It is interesting and one of the main reasons why the “food bowl” of the north was not developed. Too far to transport, labour shortages, climate, expensive to implement etc. It’s not the lack of food but all the BS that goes with industrial scale food production. sometimes it falters.

My local kawasaki shop is closing. I went in there a few months ago and they had nearly nothin on the floor, what was left was pus. Old mate from yamaha would not let me test ride a new WR. i said i would not buy one without riding it first. He understood but was not really phased so i walked out. He wanted to keep it new for a buyer. the numb nut didn’t seem to grasp that i was that buyer.

I reckon it would be easy for a self aware system to create havoc around the globe. Humans are simple things to work out so target those needs and weaknesses. Take control of an Iranian drone launch missiles at oil tankers or Christian schools or the Israelis then wait for the predicted response. If none received then create your own response until the humans take over and continue to destroy themselves.
Alternatively muck around with the stock exchange, banks, blow out electrical grid, recalibrate sensitive equipment to ruin production. The sky is the limit with this stuff and a sinister AI robot would initiate all this at once. The interesting part would be why did it do it?

Sounds like you have got it sorted, well done. Where abouts are you? I moved to my property 4 months before covid kicked off and i’m loving it. I like the sound of off grid power but won’t go there myself, yet. I have solar and my bills are very low so buying a battery bank to supply the house is not economical. I do need a back up though. I’ve been working from home but will transition back to work more as i feel i’m losing motivation.

Global food shortage? I'm calling fake news on this, It has always been fake news. But pictures of empty shelves and bullshit headlines sell 'clickbait' and advertising. Admit it, you guys can't help yourselves, can you? You have to 'click'. Like tomatoes ' link to the SunRice article. "OMG!!! No Aussie rice left!!! WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!!!!". Except that we import rice from overseas all the time. And everyone has a heap at home now anyway, way more than they would normally have. And Aussie farmers will grow more if there is more demand and prices increase. So there isn't a problem but "since you are looking this way, now a few words from our advertisers"! A lot of the farmers in the riverina are not growing rice as it does not pay. Everyone gets pissy with cotton, almonds etc being grown because they think it is a waste of water. Those people have never heard of $ made per megalitre of water used. If you could make 3-5 times the money with the same volume of water you’d go “hell yeah”. This is the case with cotton and other high end crops and why the low end stuff like rice is no longer as profitable an option to grow. when people complain that farmers should be forced to grow more food and not cotton i say “ok as long as you are willing to work for 20% of your normal wage” the looks of confusion are priceless.
