I don’t agree with virtually anything he says, but I found myself defending his right to free speech last week with some of my female employees - they seem to think free speech should only be allowed if it conforms with their belief system. The “Feminism is cancer” remarks really riled them up.

I passed my citizenship exam a couple weeks ago and if I'm lucky I'll take my oath on Australia Day. Not renouncing US citizenship, so no parliament for me...😂 Congratulations mate! Good to have you on board.
I found out I had dual the other day with all this parliamentary business going on... Giving it up would be a hard decision to make for sure.
Dual with what country?

I keep thinking it is going to be the condo/unit surplus that tips the balance. People who own units as investment properties through self managed super funds can't let them fail. To bail them out, people will be forced to sell their homes.
I've been predicting that the bubble would burst for years - part of the reason I'm not buying...part of me hopes this will just happen so we can move on.

As you all know, I keep cases of Red Feather tinned butter. If you keep it from temperature fluctuations this can last 5 years.
In addition, I've always got a 3L tin of olive oil, a few liters of sunflower oil and coconut oil on hand.

No problems at 1-2 years - cheese gets a little darker with age, but tastes just fine.
I assume it will last 3-5 years without any issues.

I have a Campbells membership - you have to have an ABN to get a membership (not open to the general public). Sale prices at Woolworths and Coles tend to beat Campbells pricing. You'll find that some of their stock has been sitting on their shelves for a long time. Deb's potatoes are pretty rough, but don't let that sour you on all instant mashed potatoes. I buy Edgell Idahoan (118 servings) from my local Greek importer and they are fantastic. I've done taste testing at work and everyone has been impressed, including a former chef and a leading restaurant reviewer. Costco also sells 112 serving (14x8) packs that get great reviews and are very inexpensive: www.costcogeeks.com/single-post/2017/06/20/Product-Review---Honest-Earth-Instant-Potatoes

Purchased directly through Ballantyne:
12 x 340g for $55.20 = $1.35 / 100g
vs
24 x 454g for $150.00 = $1.37 / 100g

All Ballantyne sell is Butter - mostly fresh to restaurants/food service.

I do have a lot of Red Feather Butter, which I purchased directly from the source (delivered from Ballantyne Foods - you need an ABN to purchase directly).
I'm not a big fan of Bega Canned Cheese. I store the shelf-stable Kraft Cheddar blocks, Velveeta and Parmesan.

Not my house - we're squatting anyway - so I would grab everything of value that can be carried and take my family out the back. Stay low, be quiet and get as far away as possible.
If immediate shelter is an issue, you can always circle around to one of the houses they've already cleared (or wait them out and return to the house you've vacated after an hour or so).

Dig a root cellar and store them in moist sand.

I've seen natural peanut butter go rancid, but never the US style (sold at Woolworths). I've eaten 5-year old and it was just fine. It doesn't separate after being opened for 12-18 months.

If it is red and oozing puss, I like to rinse it with Hydrogen Peroxide - maybe poke at it with sterile tweezers as well while the bubbles are doing their job.
If it isn't bleeding I'd say let it breathe and keep it uncovered. If it is oozing or bleeding go for a bandaid with a drop of triple antibiotic ointment like Neosporin (cuts heal really well and much quicker, but you run the risk of developing antibiotic resistant organisms - I just don't care)

Very interesting Shiney - I liked watching him try to eat the preserved sandwich around the 11 minute mark

Mmm...bacon!!!!
We raised a few pigs when I was young and we always had a freezer full of bacon and sausage.
Think I might need to start that conversation with Ziggy's mum.

I'm no expert, but as unemployment rises I would expect spending to reduce, forcing retailers to drop prices to achieve a sale. Many people might have to sell their flash toys to cover their mortgage. A good time to buy for those with money. I agree. Think of all those poor saps that own investment properties with their Super (especially units)...they can't default on those properties, so they are forced to sell their primary homes to stay afloat.
