We have the same problem with dingoes on Fraser island. The dingoes have no fear of humans in some camp areas and every now and then a kid gets bitten etc. Dingoes are good scabs and will hang around for a easy feed from campers or their waste. My brother nearly lost his camp frying pan to a dingo in the NT. he was lazy and left it out after cooking. He awoke to the sound of scrummaging and jumped out of his tent to see a dingo running off with a pan in its mouth. He gave chase for 200m before it dropped it. It’s numbnuts like him that add to he problem.

We had a lack of seeds of all types including potatoes. Some of the more reputable brands are still not stocked well. I’ll check again when i’m in town. I have already used a fair bit of my own seed from last summer and they are going well. My bok choy is now an invasive species, absolutely everywhere. I have collected broccoli seed to see how that goes. With my brocc i cut them back and not pulled them out and think that they will provide another season of broccolini.
The rain has slowed and some sun getting through to dry my place out. Production is back on the rise.

The restraint in using firearms is strengthening their case to continue to own and use firearms. As soon as they go 2nd amendment they will be in a war. It's only a piss take mate aimed at all the Yanks that get on these forums with the "You Aussies handed in your guns so you deserve everything you get!" style commentary! Yeah mate I understand the piss take and totally agree with it. I just find it so ironic that no guns have been used after the years of bleating about their rights, now is the time for Trump diehards to stick to their convictions. Maybe they only have the guts to use them when they know no one will shoot back such as in a school. pussies.

Still totally zero 2nd amendment action, very disappointing!! The restraint in using firearms is strengthening their case to continue to own and use firearms. As soon as they go 2nd amendment they will be in a war.

Was she dead already? I don't see much effort to administer cpr. That’s what i think too. Shot in the neck. although is seems most US cops version of CPR is crash tackle, knee to the neck, head or back then handcuff. Actual CPR is optional. Taser also highly recommended.

She was shot trying to get through a small window in the door. Shot appeared to come from inside the door.

The Chinese are not going to US soil regardless of the outcome tonight. That would unite he US and they would have their butts handed to them. Taiwan is onthe cards but again that would also possibly create a unifying event. They will sit back and use cyberspace to create as much havoc as they can and weaken the west from within, so BAU. We are too fat, lazy and apathetic to care let alone develop an effective counter to this insurgency. . Read this Abc article on chinese infiltration. Be concerned, very concerned and spread the word cause this shit has to end. “Mr Liu told the ABC he believed ASIO had assessed him as a security risk because he was the president of a popular Australian-Chinese neighbourhood watch organisation which had an agreement to take instructions from the Chinese consulate in Melbourne. The group, the Australian Emergency Assistance Association Incorporated (AEAAI), acts as a middleman in police incidents and legal cases involving Chinese speakers. The association has promoted itself as a grassroots community platform to its more than 55,000 members from the Chinese diaspora in Australia on the Chinese social media platform WeChat. It has more than 1,000 volunteers who promise to race to the scene of incidents across Australia in a matter of minutes.”

I have a fantastic crop of insects and mold. 400 plus millimetres of rain in 20 days and 30 deg C will do that. I am growing courgettes (fancy word for zucchini) so big that they would make a seasoned lady blush. I failed with tomatoes, i think growing them into the new season over winter was a bad idea but i tried anyway. All that did was carry over some nasties from last season which is killing the plants. I still have carrots, onions, silver beet, beans, celery, ‘erbs, cucumber and eggplant kicking along. My corn was flogged by mice. I had saved seed from the “bicolour” variety of corn. I thought this would not perform as they were hybrids (?) but got a good crop until he lil buggers found out. I’ll put out some poison to see if i can shut them down. My compost is vividly alive. The pile is hot, moist and should be pumping out decent quality compost to cycle back through the garden in a couple of months. weeds, grass, leaves, chook poo is all going into the mix. I’ll add some carbon to keep the C:N ratios about right. It’s a great thin g to know it is as hard as F#$k to grow crops in a normal situation let alone a survival one. I’m glad i eat a metric sh!tton of meat as i can grow and hunt all i need very well. Your last point is a great and in depth thought - in a shtf scenario, many people think they will just put seeds in the ground, come back in the morning, and have veggies on tap. You have shown that there are other factors in play - heat, rain, insects, mould, mice etc. One has to plan for a situation when the reliable veggie plot fails miserably, or it gets raided and nothing is left behind. Makes one think about other options to consider. Yep very true and most people i know have pitifully small gardens and they think that will sustain them. It’s been 15 years since i’ve had a vegie garden in the subtropics, most of my other gardens were in the desert or dry tropics. Summer is almost a write off for a lot of vegetables up here unless you spray. The mice eating the corn was a surprise and i should have reacted a bit quicker. Everything else was deja vu from previous lessons and experience. A good key indicator was old mate down the road who sells organic produce at a roadside stall. About 3-4 weeks ago he had picked his veg crops then planted covercrops. This tells me he won’t sow new seed until Autumn when the growing conditions in my area are near perfect and the bugs and mould are easing off. It’s not all doom and gloom and we are still producing about $60-$70 worth of veg a week, a dozen eggs a day, a rooster every 2 weeks and a young ram lamb getting prime for the spit. We need to get some steers in but they are like gold bars on legs, very pricey.

Ya just have to try it Spinifex! it’s a pretty big difference regardless of how many eyes you have open. For sharts and giggles try looking through both scope positions with a dunny roll. The forward mount just seems to activate much better vision.

OK. Whats with the sighting configuration on that gun? What is the point of having the optical tube so far forward? Surely all that does is create an optic with a tiny field of view? What is that meant to be good for? Actually the field of view is greatly enhanced but not by the scope. when you see something then the scope is used but you still have mega peripheral vision from your eyes for fast acquisition of other targets. I use an eotech in a similar position on my remy 308 pumpy. Norseman might be better able to explain why he does it but that’s what i do.

have been lurking this forum for awhile, wanted to ask if anyone here recieving mail from endccp.com/ ? I got a leaflet a few days ago in the mailbox in brisbane. from the website. "This pandemic could have been prevented if the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) did not lie. Yet, ever since it took over China, hundreds of millions of people have been suffering from its endless deceptions and brutality. The demon CCP has plundered the ancient land of China, and now its terror has spread globally, affecting everyone. It is time for all of us to reject its evil work and put an end to the Chinese Communist Party!" Interesting! It sounds to me that was written by a Chinese national. The thing is we all know this stuff about the CCP already. Maybe a leaflet drop over Beijing is a better use of the paper? Welcome.

Yip, I have worked in coal in South Africa, Mongolia and Australia. Australian coal in good quality with low sulfur content. Sulfur affects metal quality in coake ovens, and big impact on air quality when burnt for electrical generation. Well ha ha China now has an energy shortage and slowing down production due to lack of coal. ?? Such bad management would never work in a democracy... www.zerohedge.com/economics/china-restricts-electricity-use-amid-coal-shortageA lot of coal mines in Australia now belong to Chinese owned companies like Yancoal, who have a hiring freeze on some of their mines. - I wonder what they think of the coal embargo.... Exactly! The Chinese government just wants to hurt Aus and figures stopping all the main imports will do it. We ordered a couple of bottles of vitamins from Aus in early November. Finally arrived the other day after about 5 weeks shipping time. Obviously lots of issues with logistics now due to covid, but the shipper also said all vitamins from Australia are being inspected by Chinese Customs now. I'm wondering if they were eventually allowed in because the producer is now Chinese owned? I wonder what happens if iron ore shipments are stalled? Which side would Gina Rhinehart and Twiggy Forrest stand on?Seriously? They’d open their ports, airports and trainlines to ferry chinese troops all through the pilbra. There are lampposts with their name on it if we ever decide to be truly autonomous.

Got this recommended vid from YT. "southernprepper1" looks to be preparing for all out war and having to defend the US constitution. The stolen US election has motivated the conservatives. I only very rarely watch southernprepper1, he is normally very placid. If not mistaken he is the guy who developed the scoring system for the show Doomsday Preppers. I used to watch southernprepper a bit but now i don’t. He physically looks like he has gone down a deep, dark rabbit hole that i can’t follow him down. All this BS about amendments and rights...sheesh that battle was lost in the 70’s and 80’s when corporate america left the lower and middle class in the lurch for more mega profit in asia. He just gotta suck it up now. Livin’ the medicated dream.

It will just be explained that Australia is restricting supply as a response to tariffs, typical propaganda for a gullible nation. It will be likely, actually a certainty, that chinas tariffs will not be mentioned. No matter what their people will never be fed the truth and we will be the bad guys. That shithole needs a few more tank guys to make a stand but i fear after all the intellectual knowledge theft, aggressive global policy and a army of western traitors making trillions that this will get so much worse before it gets better.

“Product of” surely is different to “grown in”. You can’t BS that much and maintain your product. oh hang on they probably can.
