She make a valid point but no one really knows this cause they live in their segregated inner city suburbs and have never met an aboriginal person let alone had a conversation with one. The inner burbers still feel they can pick a side and virtue signal (thanks bug) themselves to their own little mental nirvanas.
BLM and the Aussie “protests” are conflating two fundamentally different issues with the law enforcement system. Our police are well trained and are a much higher standard than US cops, we don’t see many examples of direct police brutality often although the are cases but pretty rare. That Aboriginal boy that was tripped to be put in cuffs was nothing. just a loud mouth shit being put to the ground. Nothing like what happened to Floyd and is totally incomparable. US cops face much more danger as every turd had a gun hence and react badly when faced with danger, they are scared.
Deaths in custody is another matter, many were suicides in the past but the drunks and methheads that get locked up need medical attention to keep them alive sometimes. However not in my fukken hospital, i’ve already had a run in or two with drunks the cops have dropped off at the local hospital and they should have isolated beds away from us normal people.

No problem,
Beetroot, cabbage, carrot, pea and broccoli at the moment. Apparently you can eat tomato leaves as well but i have not tried them yet, the smell is pretty strong.
I have sweet potato in the ground but they don’t want to surface yet. I hope they come on in spring.

I’ve oversown some veges and i’m experimenting on delaying maturity by eating the leaves of some of them. Turns out you can eat most vege leaves which is great.
Potatoes are punching through the dirt and my pumpkins are getting going. I’m not sure if the pumpkins will make it over winter but what the hell i’m trying anyway. We have had fortuitous rain over the past 6 weeks with very regular but small 3-5mm rain fall events and a 38mm drenching a few days ago.

It's called "virtue signalling". Usually involves giving a target group (Eg: Aborigines) an advantage over someone else, but not over yourself. It's a way that some people try to make themselves feel good. In the eyes of a virtue signaller, it is ok to discriminate against anyone who is white, male or Christian. Ahha that’s the phrase i was looking for, thank you.

avatarGeoff "Guns. LOTS of guns..." PR says: May 28, 2020 at 14:35 “I think they meant it’s time for white America to protect black America.”
Wow. You really are a Leftist. So, you believe Black Americans are incapable of protecting themselves?
You probably also believe Blacks shouldn’t have to show ID to vote, because they don’t know where the DMV is, and are incapable of getting there.
The insidious bigotry of low expectations by the Democrats”
Beno pers. comm. this comment caught my eye and is a bit off track but... This sentiment is rife in Australia too. I’ve worked with people who think lowering the standards of tender process for Aboriginal applicants is a “good thing to do”. These fuken white knights are typical in governments so they can appeal to their peers that they are “helping” with Aboriginal employment. The poor bloody Aboriginal business has effectively been subsidised by white fella grandstanding and will never meet the required standards without their white knights.Tthey go broke when that white blow in leaves the community and the business can’t secure more work because the white knight never spent the time to actually help improve the business skills or the ability for it to write proper tenders. I’ve seen it so many times out bush and it made me pretty upset to see these white people people come into communities with their saviour complexes and make the problems progressively worse. I called it out and was made to feel like a racist for daring to suggest we treat everyone the same when assessing tenders etc. end rant.

Back to the original point, where are all the guns and murders? I think is is fascinating why has this not occurred at the same scale as the actual riots? there have been a lot of these riots but still the people have refrained from total anarchy. This action appears to be the looming model for instigating change for the lower class and poor. When will they target their real enemies and not the police?

You may not have a problem, they don’t call 2 strokes ring-dingers for nothing. It could be the pull start mechanism or the governor. good luck with it.

I’d put in an underground cellar and underground concrete water tank. I'd also take the opportunity to add hardened doors and windows. I’ve also looked into composting toilets to save water but can’t make a decision until i’ve tried and tested one. I’d also design storage into my roof space. For me gas plumbing to the kitchen is a must. A wood heater as well.

We’ve had a taste of panic buying and everyone was involved not just crazy preppers. next time people will recognise the signs and the panic will set in earlier and supplies will evaporate in no time. Beat the masses and build in your preps now. That’s old advice that never expires.

If anything it should kick other nations into gear and develop new markets that make us all more China proof. This won’t go unnoticed but the big few global companies have totally pussified the west with their concept of “capitalism” and we lapped it up while things were “good”.
It will be hard to dislodge the parasitic companies that now call China home.

Well hopefully they'll direct some funds to building some storage facilities locally. They made good on the opportunity to buy in, as it wasn't something that could be accurately predicted. Let's just hope we don't get saddled with paying exorbitant rental rates for overseas facilities while no one bothers to update infrastructure here. I’d be surprised if we thought that far ahead to consider rental rates. But then again i think the US was desperate to use surplus production to fill the strategic reserve as Trumps actions to fill it for their own use were blocked. Thus you’d hope our government pushed for a good deal.

Broad beans, purple beans, onions, chives, basil, corianda, thyme, late corn, beetroot, peas, tomatoes, sunflower, celery, spinach, baby spinach, carrots, cabbage (failed due to grubs but more seedlings coming on) broccoli. Got some certified seed potato from Norco and have planted them, ill see how they go.
Our mortgage lifter toms are going great. we only have 4 plants but look to have approx 20kgs of toms coming on. Peas are producing well and need further support to keep getting bigger and more productive.
I need more organic matter in the soil. It’s got good structure and fertility but more compost would make my garden look like it’s on roids. It was a dig and get seeds in affair. next season it will get some extra love.

The theory is relatively basic, Endless growth that relies on finite resources = eventual crash when consumption exceeds supply of resource.
The real challenge is can we live meaningful lives without producing so much “stuff” and live within our means based on facts and not economic theory? I don’t know the answer cause everytime i analyse the issue i come to something that resembles communism. That doesn’t sit well with me but let’s be honest, this $300 billion government splurge appears to be just that.
