For arguements sake just say Ukraine pushes Russia back over their border what do you think comes then? Did Ukraine “win” the war or just he battle? do they seek compensation for all the destruction? how do they enforce and claims for damages?

Hard to believe that that is the case. i’m thinking this is just a bot, look at the editing or lack thereof
Tucker Carlson's top Russia-Ukraine war expert Douglas MacGregor, on Friday night: "This entire war may be over" soon, "right now things are going very, very badly" for the Ukrainians and they're "desperate," "they're losing once again just south of Kharkiv."

Don't forget the frozen berry saga from a couple of years ago where China was caught fertilising their fruit trees with human poop and than selling it on to us as frozen produce. My family policy- Do not buy or consume any foodstuffs labelled "Made in China" ever, even stuff that is typically Asian such as Soy Sauce, Noodles etc, etc. Make sure you thoroughly wash all clothing especially "Made in China" before wearing first time, be very cautious with kitchen utensils and equipment "Made in China" wash very thoroughly before first use and avoid stuff like Cast Iron "Made in China" , they could be a toxic nightmare! Do not buy cosmetics or hygiene items "Made in China" (toothpaste "Made in China" not me mate!). Additionally I'm not saying stuff coming out of Vietnam, Thailand or India is necessarily any better, but as a well documented fact, China for us is where we draw the line. We are he same but it has become a bit of a game of “hide chinese shit” in everything you can buy. Leggos used to sell to tomato paste using aussie toms, then they sneakily swapped to chinese tomatoes. I was disgusted because at the time about 5-7 years ago there was no alternative in my shop than chimese tomato paste. They have since changed back to aussie toms but it just goes to show that if you want to avoid chinese food you have to look at every label. I have not bought any leggos product since. a small protest, but grimly satisfying. The other nefarious term is made in …. using products from fark knows where. i avoid those too. It’s fatiguing to do this every time knowing some sly company can just slip in what ever they want into what you buy. they’ll claim they can’t get certain things in Australia at certain times and i’ll claim that’s bs and to try harder.

Yeah i think that is a definite reason for the off the shelf subs. I heard that building capacity for the virginia class is not enough and we might get astute class from UK as they are nearing the end of their build and will have spare space in the shipyard for Aussie builds.

I reckon the people are onside. They were burning chinese buildings at the beginning of the year so can’t see how sentiment would have changed with every day joe or the solomons equivalent.
We need to stop the shopping around to the highest bidder. not sure how but all the loves we lost for that country and millions spent just can’t be ignored.

It’s crazy. we spent nearly 20 years there and the moment we move out the chinese creep in. If these little islands sell their sovereignty so easily then we don’t have a hope, it will be a massive blockade.

Look familiar? Chinese H20 stealth bomber courtesy of chinese 5th column spies and turncoat multinationals who gave away their IP for profits. Irony doesn’t touch the surface of trying to explain this emerging conflict.

Apparently those B21 are $500 mill each. ABargain considering the B1’s were $2 billion each.
A suitable nuclear deterrent is all we need. We can become the western equivalent to North Korea and be a pain in the arse to Chinese ambition.

The Germans have U turned on the decommissioning of 3 nuclear power plants as well. This is a result of the unstable supply of gas from Russia. France has approx 1/2 their nuclear generation off line for repairs and maintenance. Europe is in trouble this winter.
I tell you one thing though. Those bloody Russians sure know how to use their environment (winter, wet conditions) to wage war. Restricting gas in winter is just an extension of that philosophy.

The PRC is really shooting themselves in the foot with this stuff. When a country repeatedly uses sanctions as some kind of tantrum that isn't supported by anyone else, their trading partners get nervous. Most foreigners have left the PRC and western companies are far less likely to set up factories there now. The PRC is a very risky trade partner. Australia won't learn this lesson any way except the hard way it seems. We'll learn when we start getting blown up with equipment made from twiggy/ginas iron ore.

Argh bugger that makes complete sense and a bit peeved i didn’t think of that myself before laying the plastic. i think most soils around here has soured a bit with all the waterlogging.
Time to get the mulch pile cranking again.

Stupid green agenda. Limit on nitrogen fertilizer usage <30%N. All this during an unprecedented global food shortage.. The left are now totally unhinged. Fishers are now supporting them as well www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/7/4/dutch-farmers-block-food-distribution-ports-overFarmers in the Netherlands have blockaded supermarket distribution centres in continuing protests against n ew environmental rules on nitrogen emissions that are likely to put many of them out of business. Fishers on Monday blocked ports in a show of support for farmers. The blockade prevented ferries from sailing to almost all the Wadden Islands off the country’s northern coast and caused lengthy delays, shipping companies reported. Its like these people who eat food and emit brain-farts as policy ideas ... have NFI how food is produced in modern quantities at modern prices. Synthetic Nitrogen Fert is bloody expensive ... Im confident that food growers aren't being too extravagant with its use. N use is directly correlated with crop yield in all food crops. 30% less N would mean a significant drop in food production.
The EU also has a bunch of Bollocks regulations that sees a fair proportion of food produced simply discarded as "not meeting spec". They put it in methane digesters without any thought to what it cost to produce it ... then feel happy about producing renewable gas. Better to put that non-spec produce on shelves at a lower price and have it eaten.
The epidemic of Stupid has now seemingly hit the point of Darwin Award level self-destruction.
So true. But all those brain farters feel no qualms about buying a new phone, tv, car or whatever to keep up with their peers. The wasteful production that goes in to keep the worker drones happy is crazy. Another thing to consider is that Aussie farmers are top tier farmers if not the best. While our practices are efficient and productive, many other nations are not and may be wasteful with ferts, chems etc. Many other nations are also subsidised and this leads to inefficiencies over fertilising etc. Many US farms (ones that i know of) don’t bother laser levelling and just blat blat their chems and ferts around and hope for rain We can’t afford to do that as we’d be priced out of the market.

20 years is about the minimum time before nuts form. so you are looking at about a 20 metre high tree. Note those bunya cones can weigh 20kg and are dangerous when they drop.

i understand that but in my opinion one should look to see why they eat this stuff and most of the time it is due to fighting off starvation particularly in difficult to farm areas like jungles. Yes it is a good source of food….for some….in some areas of the world. Show said people a steak or a box of crickets and i bet 100% of the time they’ll pick the steak if they are hungry.
If i want to eat a grub or a cricket i will but i don’t need need to be guilt tripped into eating them due to a “green” agenda and ostracised about my love for lots of red meat. And yes the guilt tripping has definitely started. It’s all side salad anyway……most of those countries that eat a lot of grubs just need to keep their willies in their pants then they might enjoy a better standard of living. Having a “whistlecock” might be the next green fad.

They are one of the best native foods.
People were selling the large cones for 20-50 bucks up here a couple of months ago. They are mega nutrition when they are on.

I think i’ve potentially buggered my house yard garden. While we had all that rain i put black builders plastic over most of it to kill weeds. I took it off after 4 months and let it dry out. i think it’s more compacted and tends to crack on the surface when drying out. It could be that it is still pretty wet in the subsoil but current plantings are very slow. Winter won’t be helping either.
I’m thinking the plastic cover may not be good for the organisms either.

Remember leaded fuel? Every major intersection and traffic light stop had surrounding areas drenched in lead emissions while the poor buggers trickled along to and from work in their cars. Absolutely no surprises there. Come and test my soil. no lead here, but i do need more sulfur! Then ABC has a conniption over Dubbo water not being fluoridation for the past 3 years….. no Fluoride in dubbo water for 3 years
then this about all rainwater in the planet being unsafe to drink; “ One thing to know: A study has found rainwater everywhere is now unsafe to drink
Yup.
A study by scientists at Stockholm University has found that rainwater everywhere on the planet is unsafe to drink due to levels of toxic chemicals known as PFAS, which have exceeded the latest guidelines.
Here's what you need to know:
Commonly known as "forever chemicals" because they disintegrate extremely slowly, PFAS were initially found in packaging, shampoo or make-up but have spread to our entire environment, including water and air A compilation of data since 2010 showed that "even in Antarctica or the Tibetan plateau, the levels in the rainwater are above the drinking water guidelines that the US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) proposed" Here's what the study's lead author Ian Cousins said:
"There is nowhere on Earth where the rain would be safe to drink, according to the measurements that we have taken."They really hate people who are resilient, self sufficient and outside the “protective” sphere of the big cities and towns. The tree changer must really be frustrating the human herders and their urbanisation fantasies.
