hey guys, came across some interesting (awesome imho) products, here- uv paqlite
imo all if their products sound really handy, the fact that they hold charge for 10 hours from even a small dose of uv is even better, and im getting some of the uvo's/necklaces for my family, so we can easily find each other during blackouts etc plus (most preppers fave point!) theyre really cheap and last forever! yay! ^_^

i was thinking, i wonder if they would work well with dried fruit or jerky added to the basic mix, or perhaps powdered cheese, herbs..... yes my mind can really run with basic ideas like this, lmao

lol XD yeah, but, you do know the hidden meaning behind LOTR dont you? its about the way industrialisation was taking over in the world (notice the shire is much like british villages?) sadly his message was a little too well hidden, as few actually realised, lol i personally am more of a Robin Hobb, Robert Jordan, King, fan, amongst others ^_^ and yeah, i think thats why it was Elvin, because it was hard tack that could easily sustain you without the issues of a tack based diet without other foods to supplement it XD these things were far more well known back in those days (btw, anzac biscuits were our version of hard tack in WW2! just the hard kind though, not the chewwy, nummy ones i prefer, lol)

my issue with much of their "evidence" is that most that deny human contribution dont take into account how much coal was used in the 1900's, and how much woodland people cleared willynilly. (remember, wood binds carbon). yes we are much MUCH greener so to speak today, our coal usage was far greater a solid century ago.
that said, i believe its a natural process, BUT our ignorance (now stupidity as we cant claim ignorance anymore!) has sped it up significantly, and we owe it to our kids and grandkids to do whatever we can to avoid making everything go fubar for a quick buck from fossil fuels.

another good idea for people with babies and young ones is babywearing. for one it keeps them safe and close, and keeps your hands free! my personal favourite is the Ergo, and single piece of fabric carriers like the moby, (i made my own!) ^_^ it does have several other pros too, so well worth looking into (i still carry my 3 year old!) its only western cultures who have abandoned the practice btw! id say about the same time as when we stopped breastfeeding as part of the norm....

considering in some parts of Aus, dugouts are the norm, surely it wouldnt be too hard to make out that you want to make one for the energy/environmentally friendly aspects like stable temp? nobody really needs to know if you are adding a couple of rooms

just a heads up, if you have a bubba, or are expecting, there is water, ready to go, in baby bottles complete with teat, available in coles and woolies even if youre breastfeeding/planning to, they will be a good source of hydration in hard times with little ones, or even people who are very ill if i recall correctly theyre about $2.50-3 a bottle (might be possible to also find them in bulk, not sure)

hmmm, idk, if i keeps going, that she'll be right attitude will quickly be pushed aside imho. even then, idk, perhaps uprising is a better adjective for what i imagine happening. is vs the govt. and pro govt supporters.... i know plenty of people who like the idea of tightening the laws and reigns.... but yeah, nothing is exactly set in stone regarding the future hey, lol

i have to say, some were funny, most were just idiots though. BUT. that said, it may make ppl think. and those thoughts might get them prepping too, even to a small degree (some is still better than none!) i cant help but wonder if some of the smart alec comments arent actual preppers just having a joke though, lol, like when i joke with a friend of mine about the zombie apocalypse, lol

imho it will be one of two things, a civil war initiated due to the governments draconian attacks on our rights and on our natural resources for profit, or, a natural disaster taking about a year or two to plateau out, as OL said, natural disasters have already been increasing in intensity and frequency, the oceanic conveyors are slowing, causing further problems (if they stop we are facing another ice age after considerable flooding worldwide), so it could be either way.

that kind i would like myself, for home security. hell, add a hittle mount and actuator and you could make a little flying weapon! certainly would be advantageous should the shtf hey still, im 200% against the govt and military drones (what, you think bombing towns, farms and even weddings fights terrorism? or makes the people so angry and hurt they become extremists to try and survive?) and imho they alrealy have enough surveilance here, thats how they catch criminals all the time. they certainly dont need to be watching us all with drones too.... on second thoughts, maybe i should start sunbathing nude and scare them out of the sky altogether! roflmao!!!

as i said, thats only that is above table. i would guarantee that they have some assortment of top secret holding/extermination facilities that are too nasty to tell anyone bar those working there, and perhaps the sec of defense. i wouldnt even be surprised if their own president is out of the loop. and the fact is, if it was half the police state you are describing, ALL firearms would be illegal. like in england. restricting what gund you can get and ensuring ppl with violent histories cant just walk in and go shopping, and making sure you keep them locked up to prevent your kids shooting up the school is a far stretch from a police state. try the uk, where guns of all sorts are illegal, and knives are restricted in a similar way as our guns are. while its getting worse here, we still have far more freedom and better laws regarding the storage and purchase of guns than the vast majority of the world. of course, if you think america is better, you could always move there. just dont complain when the violent crime and school shootings make you realise how silly you were to move there.
