I'm looking at buying a firechief pump. What pump would you recommend? That’s a top of the range setup and will not let you down. Make sure you match it with a decent reel, high quality hose, suction pipe, fittings and adapters for RFS units. Add a Rake hoe and driptorch holder and consider the option of using foam combined with a specific foam applicator, your water will work better and go further. Don't forget space for chainsaw and other things like spares and toold. A storz wrench or similar is handy at times. The best “tool” is the bloke or sheila backing you up, maybe compensate for this with extra hose and tools for them to use. For those using IBC's consider heat shielding them to avoid melting your unit when empty or near empty. It could mean saving your property or watching it burn.

I think of this continues there will be big benefits to local industry and investment. For example some big global miners are squealing to the .gov to allow more immigration of “skilled” migrants to fill job vacancies. So far this is still restricted and hopefully will finally force these buggers to properly invest and train local labour. The amount of foreign workers employed for the central qld gas projects was a national shame. An end result could be that a local miner who is financed and supported locally take up the slack. The same goes for all the toxic multis, no easy transition of labour could open a seam that spills their fat guts and redistributes some of their wealth and power. Zoom meetings and skype won’t fill the void.
bring it on!
I’m seeing heaps of Aussie businesses thrive in this uncertain environment. I feel for the coffee places but in reality that was just easy money.

Quick question. What is the risk of adding gypsum to soil that is structurally awesome but lacking sulfur? Too much could damage the structure? Gypsum appears to be a cheap source of sulfur. My soil is critically low in this mineral.

I watched a few seasons of “Alone” and it was the fatties that lasted the longest. They have significant fat reserves which is a good thing if they are generally healthy otherwise. But if they are obese and unhealthy then all bets are off and they would likely perish for lack of meds that keep them going. It is possible an obese person could be in better shape than a fitter person 4 weeks into a proper shft scenario. i know plenty of fit people who would flake out too. Some of them would literally flip their lid if they could not get their regular post workout 1am protein shake or creatine fix.
My opinion is to work out your ideal weight which for me would be when i was 17 and add 10 maybe 15kg as a buffer. Maintaining fitness with the extra weight would be an ideal strategy.

The monarchy is Australia still has major support and following. I don't get it myself but there are a zillion British expats and staunch old school Aussies that can’t let this one go. Born into ones station is repugnant to me and i would like to see the powers of the Governor general extinguished. I don't care if we keep the pomp but Britain should never again be able to wield any power over us, this is the job for Gina, elon, gatesey and boozos. Someone will always fill the vacuum.

gold and silver is a great standard in my opinion, hard won from the ground and definitely not something that is just taught . All primary industries are the same, hard work equals reward. I can understand why people in todays society do not understand this where they can buy anything they want without ever knowing how hard it is to produce.
The effort, heartache and luck that goes into finding your own gold dictates that if someone else wants your gold or silver then they are going to have to pay well for it. It can be scaled up or down to suit the purchase and is readily transported. It does have value.
Plastic money does not allow for effective trade in a major shtf scenario. Remember the wheelbarrows of Deutschmarks in post war Germany that could not buy a loaf of bread?

witnessed this yesterday at bunnings when QLD mandated masks were mandatory in all public places after 5 pm I was actually was there to get a few items for a project i was working on when it all went down the thing that stood out the most but didn't at 1st was the mini bus filled with certain people they pulled up they all filed out about 15 of them and entered bunnings i was like oh they are having an outing to bunnings. Next thing i know they had trolleys full of every type of masks and were heading for the checkouts the place was stripped before the average person knew what was going on and they were on their bus on to the next target probably to buy baby formula Now its easy to get angry at the situation but one has to respect the way they were so well informed and organised with a clear direction of purpose unlike a lot of Australians who sit on their veranda watching footy then try and get masks at 16:50 then abuse staff because there is none left Now i wasn't personally effected by this as i didn't need any masks i have plenty at home but it did show to me that if things did kick off from more than just hostile words and hot lead instead that its quite possible we could have problems on home soil very quickly if everyone isn't just a harmless student visa worker I would get angry if i saw this myself. This is another form of foreign subterfuge designed not to help others but possibly/likely cause further pain to normal Australians, to cause division and political polarisation. It was revealed recently there is a Chinese government backed “force” of over 30000 Chinese nationals who are capable of responding to any issue between chinese nationals and the police. With that sort of entity in Oz you’d have to be gullible Gary to think they are not capable of causing potential issues to deliberately inflame tensions beyond our borders to suit the agendas of other countries. Yes most of us are prepared beforehand but the fact that this is happening in a co-ordinated fashion and unchallenged is a major concern for me. How do people like this make Australia a better country?

Having no controls of the seas around us will see arbitrary blockades by the Chines due to whatever they want to make up as an issue. It’s been done with trade so it would get worse with control of the lower pacific and Indian oceans. The only way we would be safe in this scenario is nuclear deterrant such as fitting the barracudas with a salvo of nukes and removing ourselves from treaties that have proven ineffective.

The government is wasting their time advertising this when there's already too many people doing it. Yeah but they will claim the kudos for the success of the “program”

Can we still slag off at public serpents, politifilth and leg humpers? Cause a good rant is almost as good as a fine whisky. Fair game, but expect crude retribution. Solution, keep your office locked and glen21 your desk every morning.

Welcome. Empty dam? is that even possible in Australia at the moment? I'm the same with out tank water as well as all the wasted gas to heat up that length of water in the pipe that gets wasted as it cools.

If conscription ever became a thing, the military wouldn't be the only option. The less savoury or medically unfit types on the regular dole (not disability) could be used for highway cleanup gangs, council tree-planting groups, age care homes, hospital laundries, etc. Now THIS is something I can get behind. I think that's actually something that happened earlier, I know it did in the UK although unsure about Aus. Ultimately you'd need an element of folks to wrangle them but then those who are medically unfit or want to serve but can't for whatever reason could still contribute. Still gives the bludgers the chance to better themselves, gives those who're on the dole through no fault of their own (there are a decent chunk who're on it that would prefer not to be) the opportunity to build up skills and experience that they might otherwise not get exposed to, and free up those who have capacity and ability to serve from roles that don't require specialised training or aren't using their skills effectively. But the point seems moot regardless. How long do social service items like the dole last during war time? From my watching of history docos, basic rations etc. were the norm but if you wanted anything more than basic rations (which as far as I can tell were almost never enough) you had to work your butt off because it wasn't going to be handed to you. Dunno how long your average legitimate bludger (aka. not someone who's genuinely just had a bad time and is down on their luck) would last with their hand out. It sounds good in theory and could work in limited circumstances but what happens to those willing to work and be paid as tree planters, aged care, laundry etc when a wave of subsidised (dole) free workers come along? What happens to the laundry company who struggles to compete? I still like the idea but i think there are other options like breaking rocks by hand at a quarry to save on diesel (yeah i hear the disbelief lol) or boosting the meals on wheels or serving with significance other volunteer organisations. i got a soft spot for laundry cause my father in law had a full time job and then used to work in laundry on weekends to keep his family in good shape.

Rural areas are screwed regardless. Urbanites have no idea of the resources that sustain them but they feel free to sling mud at farming and agriculture and call them unacceptable carbon emitters. They believe they are self sufficient because they can grow a pot of herbs on a window sill, brew their komb!tcha and buy seeds, nuts and mushrooms from their hip local grocer. They believe they are green cause that’s how they vote and they have LED lights. This all the while surrounded by millions of tons of steel, concrete, huge electricity and fuel users, food and luxury consumers as well as living among heavily polluted waterways and atmosphere. .
Now they realise cities are unhealthy shitholes, they are spreading out to rural areas bringing their BS with them. These same people are the ones letting out stock from peoples properties because they disagree with farming, meat etc. Go to Mullumbimby or Byron, that is the epicentre of farkwittery. Tell me I’m wrong!

There is a new fighter on the cards and will be put before US congress soon. Apparently it was developed in less than a year (yeah right) and borrows tech from a range of existing aircraft. Us gov would have determined the f35 as a failure and began work on an alternative a long time ago. If this is true Lockheed Martin should be crucified and made to pay back all the lost dollars spent on the f35.

Well it looks like that little urbane latte sipper ballzac kirkup had his butt handed to him. He deserved it but his little hissy fit probably cost the libs way more than it needed to. That guy is the epitome of wimp. Julie B needs to visit him and give the li’l a swift uppercut before he packs up his soft toys and goes back to his safe space.
I reckon this is the tip of the iceberg for our political future. There are a heap of nanny fed bubbies coming up through the ranks that never played in a sandpit before. Ol Ji zing ping must be giddy with excitement.
thoughts? opinions?

Can you describe how you charge your submarine high a/h batteries with your panels? There is a point where you can’t get enough amps to do the job and you damage the cells. How do you avoid that with your set up? And how do you calculate what amps you actually need for a successful charge cycle with such a mega battery like the ones you have?
